Naruto looked at his current appearance, He had gone for a trim, and the barber looked at his horn curiously and offered to clean it for him. Apparently he had some built up dead skin attached to it and now it positively shined with an off white glow. He wore something similar to his black mission gear with the orange pants except it's all black and he wore elbow length gloves with half covered hands much like his Rikudou Sage Mode and both sleeves were folded up half the length of his forearms, the lining orange along with the zips.
Kurama rumbled from within, "Wear some magatama necklace,"
Naruto rolled his eyes, "I'm not Otsutsuki,"
"It'll look great,"
"You're just nostalgic,"
Apparently Naruto reminded the Bijuu more and more of Hagoromo. Some even suggested wearing white. Although he's seeing bruises that looked like the magatama around his neck much like the golden glowing version he had when he was in his Rikudou Sage Mode. He rubbed his neck, feeling stressed as he don't know who he's becoming anymore. He had changed the events that happened so much he didn't know what will happen and when.
Will Danzo try to be the Rokudaime again?
Will Pein attack Konoha again?
Well, he knew that the part where Pein attack Konoha will happen for sure. But he hoped this time that Jiraiya didn't have to die. Not when he already knew who was in charge of Ame. It took Naruto screaming about his pain of losing Jiraiya to an empty grave that stopped him. He already knew what he had suspected to be true, why must he go?
Naruto blinked when he saw Hinata in Kakashi's office. The Shinobi had gotten busier as Kakashi increased missions to increase their experience and add more income for their village. But he made sure they were sent in pair if not the full team. Naruto greeted Kakashi who looked apologetic, "Sorry Naruto but this mission require a tracker and a heavy hitter. We have received a mission to help track child kidnappers near Cha no Kuni,"
Naruto blinked, Yami working hard to calm him down as Kurama reminded him to stay calm. This meant he will be with Hinata for who knew how long. At age 15 she had grown more and more similar to his then wife. Calming his mind and pushing back his PTSD, he nodded, "Mission accepted, Rokudaime-sama,"
Hinata bowed beside him, "Mission accepted, Rokudaime-sama,"
This would have been easier had it not been the rift between the two of them that Naruto had unfortunately created. He glanced her from the corner of his eyes as she focused forward. Hinata had blushed less around him but not because she had lost any affection for him but rather because of the painful distance he had put between them.
Naruto chewed his cheek and awkwardly asked, "How are you doing?"
Hinata's shoulder stiffened and Naruto hated that he was the cause of that. She answered as confidently as she could, "I-I'm doing f-fine,"
He nodded, "That's good,"
They fell back into the awkward silence. Naruto wondered how to fill it but whatever that come to mind does not seem adequate. It didn't take long before they reached their client's destination. He sighed as he let Hinata greeted the man who had sent the mission scroll. He frowned as their guide, a hunter named Kawa, blushed when faced with Hinata. He shook his head and put on a political smile, one he had practiced when facing the leaders of refugees that flocked to him, "Hi, name's Uzumaki Naruto,"
Kawa looked at him and blinked at the horns, "Whoa, freaky,"
Rude.
"Rude,"
