Perl

Flowers. The cat. Her sister doing her makeup.

I smiled n walked around the second story.

I spent the whole day having fun but no matter what I time I checked my watch changed and the time on the clocks at home didn't. It was still bright outside.

I looked in the mirror where my mother was baking at the stove and my eyes cause sight of something.

grandma necklace around my neck but she should have it on. Why is it on my neck?

Pel stood up and walked away from the mirror as she didn't even see ejay screaming to her from the other side.

I walked to the back door n pushed it slid open I walked out where grandmother was sitting in her chair beside the garden.

She smiled at me so sweetly." Perl baby, come sit with you granny" I ran toward her climbing on her lap "you getting old baby" She grabbed the book beside her and flipped the book opening showing me the pages " lets see.. " she mumbled and glanced at the kitchen back door. " once upon a time, there was a little girl. The girl grew up happy and in bubble wrap.

The little girl as she grew got tired of the boring life and expectations and decided to in brace a part she always hid. She seeked out help to a boy.. " her grandmother glanced at the door before a gurgling sound was heard and the door slammed shut erupting into fits of yells " perl wake up."

Her grandmother grabbed the child by her shoulders " huh" "wake up baby this ain't real " that boy needs you he trying to reach you listen baby!" Perl stopped and tilted her head and muffled out the yelling and banging " listen baby.." perl stopped breathing "perl..perl..PERL!!"

Perl jumped and looked ay the lake not too far beside her grandmother and she than looked at her grandmother who smiled " there ya go." She hugged perl and put her on her feet " he angry and hurt. The only way to soothe him over-" the door banged with a " THUD" and bun bun was holding her mothers head making perl choke up tears and her grandmother covered her mouth.

The bear started to run but it foot fell in a hole in the ground " go baby this world tearing apart" her grandmother got a hole in her body and she pushed perl forward " come with me!!" I can't baby I'm not a living.. I will be with you along as you keep my necklace and memories safe" AREHH YOU BITCH!!!" The bear tried to pull it foot out and perl hugged her grandmother.

" I love you." "I love you more baby." Perl dashed towards the trees as tears flew from her eyes she glanced back to see her grandmother well pieces of her flying away in gold resembling golden confetti. She ran as she started to hear the boys voice the closer she got the more memories she didn't recognize came to her and she heard the pounding of little feet behind her.

The world caved apart as if it was never real to begin with.As is she waking up from a bad dream. She ran till her feet sloshed the water and she ran till she neared the middle of the pond she didn't stop even when her movements slowed. The cherished child toy was nearby and she screamed when she felt hands wrap around her ankles and she was pulled down.Even if she was underwater she could breathe and run like she wasn't,it was like a underwater aquarium and she didn't take time to see who pulled her to the bottom as the same hand pulled her to run.

A boy.

He felt familiar, and warm..his mere presence gave her a sense of comfort.

She glanced up to see the bear eyes now blood shot red and it fingers was extended with pitch black nails.

A sight that would tremble anyone to the bone

They ran and ran which felt like a  forever run till they saw a door come in view. " THERE,A DOOR" perl yelled as if on queue the door opened.

it was so bright, they wondered if the door was safe but figured anything is better than what chasing them.

They ran against time, against the bear. And finally jumped through the door as it slammed shut.

Perl jerked up from shock and her eyes opened as she was holding jay's hand and he smiled weakly at her.

" So, you think you're smarter than me?"
