"Jay.." As he came towards us with a frown, he stood beside me glaring at Min-Jeong.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting your nails done or something?, you know your classic hOt giRL stuff." He said as I stood their like a lost puppy.

"Uh Jay...I was just talking to our new friend, she's Lee Mirae, in the same grade...I mean not like you care about her." She sort-of introduced me as her "Friend" and put on a fake smile.

"Actually I very well know her and yes, I do care." He said while keeping a poker face. Wow these three will do anything to win a bet.

"Um, What??? since when do you care about nerds?"

"First, don't wanna answer to a good for nothing bimbo like you and second, I don't think she's your friend, so Adiós." He said and oh boy I really thought he was talking to his sister like that.

"Let's go." He said as he held my hand and dragged me out of there.

A few moments later we were in his luxurious car, he drove to a very calming park and then he got out of the car, walked towards my side and opened the door.

"Why are we here?"

"Oh, just to get some fresh air." He looked at me with a subtle smile while saying that.

"Why did you do that back there?" I asked being genuinely curious.

"Do what?"

"Help me from Min-jeong."

"I don't like her ruling everyone like she owns this school." He said as he gazed at the beautiful sky. The sun has set and it was dark, with stars hovering over them.

"What happened? Why'd you become her targets?" He asked me looking me in the eyes.

"Actually one day, I was at the school's rooftop getting some fresh because there was a ton of stress in my life as my dad passed away beacuse of cancer and at the rooftop, I was so stressed I accidentally threw my can of soda at Min-jeong's face and yk she beat me up and here I am." I opened to him and I don't even know why I did that knowing he was just using me, but it felt right.

"I'm sorry, my life's full of stress too, my dad has always been pressuring me into taking over his company in the near future and I honestly don't wanna do that, I wanna open my own restaurant and live an easy, simple life rather that a controlled one ."

Jay's p.o.v.-

I honestly don't know why I told that to her. Only Sunghoon, Jake and Heeseung hyung knows about this. But it just felt right to me.

A few moments later, I saw her looking at her bracelet. I figured it was gifted by her dad as Heeseung hyung has the same.

Tears started falling to her face and It was not good seeing her like that so I just embraced her tight.

Mirae's p.o.v.-

I was missing my dad alot and I just couldn't hide it away so I started crying and Jay hugged me tight and It felt so good. The warmth of the hug was what I craved for from ages. After being a crying mess, We broke the hug and smiled at each other softly.

"Thank you."

"It's alright, I needed that too."

"Jay, I know you are popular, powerful and all, but the way you talked to Min-jeong was like you knew how she was from the beginning." I indirectly asked him.

"Yeah, She's my ex, we dated for a while but called it off." Damn! Was she one of his bets or just a stress reliever.

While being here with Jay, I totally forgot about one thing, HEESEUNG!!

"Oh my god!! I forgot, I need to get home or my brother's gonna kill me." I panicked and started picking my self up.

"Hey don't worry, I'll talk to Heeseung hyung and let me drop you." Wait what, he knew my brother?

"You know him?

"Yeah Of course I do, I hang out with him." Well that was new but alright and I'm guessing Jake hangs out with him too. My brother's three friend tryna win me over a bet, not weird at all!

"Ok? Let's go now!"

We reached my home and I bid my a goodbye and he left. Why is my stomach feeling so weird?? Might've had something bad.

"Early home, eh?" I entered my house and saw Heeseung on the couch staring at me.

"I was with a....friend?" I said as I didn't what else to say. I mean of course I can't just go and tell "oh i was crying in Jay's shoulder haha" so had to say that.

"Who??" He questioned narrowing his eyes.

"You don't know. Good night..?" I glanced at him and rushed to my room.

"Weird protective brother." I smiled sensing the protectiveness of my brother.

I showered and did some of my homework and it was currently 8:25pm, so I had some time till dinner. So I went to my window sofa(?) and started reading a book.

As I was flipping some pages, I heard a knock on my window and fell of the sofa. I opened the window and he entered.

"What the hell Jake??? What are you doing here??"
