"Here is my address. I'll be there in two hours and set up your room. You can teleport there in five hours." Steve and Natasha boarded the jet, which took off as she returned to the building.

"Follow me," Tony said, walking toward the elevator with Stacy behind him. "Every member of this team has a room here at Avengers Tower. Since we don't know if we can trust you, yours is temporary. I sent Miss Potts shopping for you; she'll be back soon. In the meantime, I had JARVIS analyze you to get your measurements for a new suit. It will be ready before you leave." The elevator stopped on the 40th floor, and they exited.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me; all this is temporary until you prove you can be trusted."

"Yes, of course." Tony stopped in front of the door at the very end of the hallway. It was the only one without a name on it. "This is it; Miss Potts just arrived. She'll be up in two minutes." Tony walked back to the elevator and pressed the 'down' button.

Stacy opened the door and walked inside the room. She gasped when she saw it. It was twice as big as her apartment in Brooklyn, with a California King-sized bed in the middle. When she walked further into the room, she saw two sets of double doors beside each other. She walked over and opened the one on her right. It was a giant walk-in closet the size of her old bedroom. The other set of doors led to a large bathroom with a large glass wall shower and a separate bathtub.

She heard the bedroom door open and stuff being put on the bed. Stacy exited the bathroom and saw Miss Potts organizing a large number of bags on the bed.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Barnes," Miss Potts greeted.

"Miss Potts, please call me Stacy. Mrs. Barnes is too formal."

"And you can call me Pepper. I wouldn't worry about the others too much. In their line of work, it's hard to trust people, even those you've known your entire life. But I have good intuition, and I trust you enough."

"Thank you, Pepper."

"You're welcome. We don't have a lot of time. I got you everything you could need. We're going to start with a shower. I'll show you how to turn it on. This bag is hygiene stuff." They walked into the bathroom, and Pepper started pulling things out of the blue fabric bag and placing them on the counter. "This is a liquid body wash and a bar soap. You can choose which one you want to use, or you can use both. I find the scent of the body wash stays longer when you use a bar soap first.

These are shampoo and conditioner. A gentle facial cleanser, washcloths, a loofah, and two towels." She showed Stacy how to use the shower and left while she was in there. After she was done in the shower, Stacy towel-dried her hair and dried her body before stepping out and returning to the bedroom.

"While you were in the shower, I ordered Chinese food. Someone will bring it up when it gets here. Here are some clothes, a hairdryer, and a brush." Stacy took the stuff to the bathroom, put on the clothes, and figured out how to use the hairdryer. When she came out, Pepper brought bags to the coffee table on the other side of the bed and sat on the sofa. Stacy joined her, and Pepper picked up a remote off the table and pressed the red button. The screen before they lit up, and Pepper channel-surfed until she found what she was looking for. She pulled the food out of the bags and put some in front of Stacy.

"Dig in," she said, handing her a fork and a pair of chopsticks. The food was not what Stacy was used to, but it was good, and she ate all of it. Pepper was watching a show about doctors at a hospital in Seattle, Washington. When she finished her food, Pepper turned off the television and went back to sorting through the bags on the bed.

"I may have gone a little overboard. The only occasion I didn't get something for was a formal event. There are workout clothes, lounge clothes, dresses, jeans, skirts, pajamas, and undergarments. I bought a variety of styles, cute, plain, sexy. I know the forties were very conservative times, so this stuff might be a little uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it." Stacy picked up what looked like a scrap of fabric.

"What's this?"

"That's a pair of panties. It's called a thong. They're an adjustment. But I got you regular ones, too." Pepper opened the large suitcase on the bed and started putting the different piles of clothing in it. She grabbed a different bag and went into the bathroom. When she came out, she put the bag in the last space in the suitcase. She zipped it up, put it on the floor, and pulled out another slightly smaller suitcase.

"What's that one for?"

"Shoes and accessories." She pulled ten shoe boxes out and opened them. "These are go-to styles for the styles of clothing I picked out for you. There are two of each style. Two pairs of wedges, heels, flats, high-top sneakers, and training shoes. It's not a lot, and there are so many other styles, but it's a start. When you move here permanently, you'll have a lot of space to fill. Here wear these." She handed Stacy a pair of high-top sneakers and put the other shoes in the suitcase. She went through the purses and other accessories and put those in the suitcase.

"This is yours," Pepper said, holding a gold ring. Stacy took the ring from her hand and immediately realized it was her engagement ring.

"Where did- How did you get this? I thought it was lost."

"When Steve woke up, they gave him a box of stuff they felt didn't belong in the museum. This was in there. He takes the box back and forth with him, but he told me to give this to you before he left."

"Thank you." Pepper looked at the device in her hand and walked toward the door.

"Tony said your suit is ready. Let's go take a look." They left the room and took the elevator to the 12th floor, and Pepper led the way to what looked like an amory/robotics lab. Tony was waiting inside and directed them to a suit on a mannequin.

"It doesn't look like much. I returned to the design of Natasha's suit from when I first met her. It's double-lined with the same technology I used in Natasha's and Steve's suits. I'm going to assume that you don't need any weapons. There are also fingerless gloves that protect your hands during hand-to-hand combat." He pressed a button on the mannequin, which folded into a metal case. He closed the case and handed it to Stacy.

"We should go grab your bags. It's been about five hours." They left the room and went back to Stacy's temporary bedroom. Stacy gathered her bags and said goodbye. She thought about Steve and recited his address as she teleported out of the room. When she opened her eyes, she was in Steve's living room.
