The only friend John has left after Newcastle, John is running from the past and the demon that came from hell to hunt him; Amber Salvatore is a demon hunter trying to escape her family...
He swore to himself that he'd never be knocking on this door, that this woman couldn't be worth his time
He hated Jess more then he thinks he's ever hated anyone besides his father of course, Jess has alot of emotional baggage and when John stepped into Amber's life that created more baggage
But was John really supposed to like Amber's friend that encouraged drugs?
When she opened the door she smiled and then laughed "John Constantine, what do I owe the pleasure of having you in my home, what did Amber figure out that you've been fawning over her?" Jess guessed jokingly, for a woman that led a vampire war she had lots of jokes
"No actually I caught her with pills and then she disappeared, went off grid. I supposed that I should bloody come here and see if you could....help me find her." Asking her for help might just be the hardest thing John has ever done and Jess takes pleasure in that
But to John's surprise Jess' face falters when he mentioned he caught Amber with drugs, John knew Jess also helped Amber quit the first time and Jess also knew the pain of quiting herself "Well I guess you should uh come inside then." She mumbles her cocky behavior quickly disappearing as John explains what happened
Jess looked up with a sigh before walking up to a bunch of books "Follow me closely, touch anything I bite you." Jess spoke with warning but she didn't sound like she was threatening him it was a genuine warning
Jess pulled a book from the bookshelf and the bookshelf disappeared leaving a dark hallway that had a faint blue lighting leading to a crystal ball
"So your a fortune teller now?" Jess rolled her eyes at John, she grabbed one of her special knives and cut her finger a smidgen before dropping the blood on the crystal ball
John looked surprised when an image played in the crystal like a snow globe "You see that club John, that's where she is let's go. Also since I found her she should rehabilitate with me." John shook his head, Jess knew John probably wouldn't agree to that but for her it was worth it to get under his skin ______________________________________
The two made way to the club
The argument didn't stop not even on the way there, they both had Amber's best interest at heart
"Why don't we let Amber decide."
"Because we both know she's gonna pick you luv."
Jess rolled her eyes in joking confusion "Why? Me and her were only married for a few months" Jess joked but John wasn't laughing, he knew the real reason he hated Jess, hell evreyone practically knew
He hated her because she was truly Amber's best friend and technically also her ex wife
"We're here"
Once the two were inside Jess almost bolted in an instant upon seeing who was at the bar
"Jessie!"
Jess hated that nickname and now her enemy was standing in front of her and her frenemy, John stood confused not knowing who the woman in front of them was "What are you doing here Malia." The question was rhetorical obviously Jess could see what Malia was doing but to her it seemed weird that the place they tracked Amber to just happened to be where she was
"Having a drink. You?"
"Where's Amber? What'd you do with her?"
Malia smiled "You.? Your? John Constantine aren't you? Wow what did the little ol' daughter of Hades do to deserve your visit? Or is this personal? Did I take something from you or rather...someone?" She questioned shrugging nonchalantly over to a table behind her where Amber laid
John picked Amber up "Don't worry, she's clean. I didn't bring her here to hurt her, I still love her. I just wanted to lure you here cuz, to tell you I'll get what you took from me back mark my words. Wolves will run the city again and vampires will be the ones living in the shadows like rats." Jess smiled darkly at Malia as John brings Amber to the car
"We'll see about that cousin. See you on the battle field!"
Malia raises her glass before whispering
"On the battlefield." ______________________________________
John looking into the backseat "So Amber who do you wanna go with?" John questioned and Jess sighed shaking her head in annoyance
"She's going with you. I have a war to prepare for and you care about her. She'll be safe with you." John was confused but accepted it, Jess was truly Amber's best friend and John felt as if at this moment she was only rubbing it in
The car suddenly swerved and they were on the road "You know, I didn't expect three magicans who have climbed there way out of hell and fought off hellhounds would make it this easy." The demon laughed as the three crawled off the ground
"Des?" Jess questioned
Amber shook her head
"Not Desmond. Neron."
He smiled at them demonicly "Amber Salvatore, John Constantine and Jessica Perez , you've all become so petty. You want to know the funny thing about the three of you, you all have one thing in common, you all hate your fathers. And that darkness inside the three of you will free my Tabitha." The three shared looks as Neron came closer to them
Jess pulled the two back further into the woods "We have to get back to my place! I have something there that can separate Neron and Des!" John and Amber looked at her in question as they retreated
"So what are we getting?" Jess was silent she didn't know wither answering John was a good idea
