Chapter summary: Amber thinks about the past and tries to decide if blindly following John to face Magical creatures was a good idea. While she goes down memory lane she figures out what she created and if she created a monster or a savior

Amber Pov

John and I haven't talked since he kissed Me, I don't know why I haven't had the courage to just talk to him. But after Astra and Natalie and Annie Marie and Lester I can't take a chance on John.

I mean Lester loved him and John sacrificed him, I know Lester volunteered and I know John did what he had to do to stop the demon but it never sat well with me.

Annie shot him, she must've had good reason, besides the fact that she was John's ex. That's another thing when he were kids Annie and John were so close, then they started dating and everything they had was ruined.

Chas stook around, but that's not surprising, Chas follows John like a puppy. if Chas wasn't with Renee I have no doubt he'd be all over John and not just because he drunken told me him and John hooked up. And I mean they would work out, Chas is always quick to call John out on his shit. Could be a good quality for a lover for John.

Then there's Lester, it's my fault he's gone, I introduced him to John, if I had never saved John that day....well let's just say Lester wouldn't have died a hero. He probably would've overdosed, that's one thing that I can't blame John for, giving Gary the chance to do die a hero instead of die an addict.

Then there's Me, I created John Constantine, Annie said it was a bad idea. John was unpredictable and his father hurt him we didn't know how he'd use that gift. I come from a family of witches so when John caught me using magic he was so interested and amazed. I had never seen him so happy, at first we kept it from the others and pretended to be normal. John was in beauty school when I started teaching him magic, then Annie started to like the idea so she decided to help.

I created thee John Constantine, so if John's a monster then what does that make me..?

Unless John's not a monster, I mean dispite what Zed says I doubt John would trick Lester into sacrificing himself, John loved Lester maybe not in the way Gary wanted him to but he loved him. Chas always spoke the truth about John, I mean John did stop the rising darkness, he had help but he did it. He saved Mazikeen even though she's a demon, she's one of the good ones. And when I say good ones I mean she's like a sister to me.

John saved me before, many times, he helped me overcome my addiction. He tried to help Lester to but Gary was stubborn and he was to far gone. I can't excuse what John's done but at least I can say he had good cause.

LIVERPOOL LANCASHIRE, 1995 [ Nobody's pov]

John knocked on the door to the Salvatore house, trenchcoat blowing in the breeze, hair messy as always.

Amber's mother opened the door, Bonnie Bennett, or as she's now known Bonnie Bennet - Salvatore. "Yes?" Bonnie asked as she stood in the doorway, stern face telling him she didn't trust him

"I'm uh here for Amber Luv..is she-" John started but was quickly interrupted by the woman saying that her daughter wasn't there

John looked around awkwardly before asking when she'd be back "Never." Bonnie replied glaring twords the tall blonde in the doorway

"You've got quite a strong opinion for someone who doesn't know me luv."

Bonnie continued to glare "You've got some nerve asking a Bennet witch for anything, warlocks like you will never be a friend to us so stay away from my daughter." Bonnie spoke with power in her voice

John had no idea who and what he was messing with "Why don't you come outside and say that." John replied as he felt the houses magic keeping him outside

Bonnie stepped outside without hesitation and her eyes turned gold, then there John was clutching his head in pain before falling down the stairs "I am not Amber, don't test me." She told him as she stopped his pain and started to make way for the house

Suddenly a demon was grabbing her before she even could think of a spell, but suddenly she heard a spell coming from the blonde warlock and then the demon was melting into the ground "I'm not a bad guy Ms Bennet I just need help and your daughter is the only one I trust." John started before a black vein make its way up John's arm and he felt the demon inside of him resurfacing

John wrote down an address, "just tell her to meet me there, please." John requested before running off hoping the demon that was resurfacing didn't hurt anyone

There he was sitting there holding a bottle of pills looking disappointed in me "T-that isn't- it's not-" I stuttered the last time I got caught I cried in his arms like a baby I'm never gonna be that venerable again

"Then what is it like? Because to me it looks like your using again." John rambled and I don't know what came over me but I grabbed the bottle and slapped him

"Just because your stupid in love with me doesn't give you the right to judge me." I said before storming off and having Gideon bring me elsewhere in the jump ship
