Tighnari wasn't never a person who sulked over little things such as bad grades or loss of sleep. It wasn't really in the "important" category in his day to day life. But little would he know, a "minor" thing would change his life forever.

"Master Tighnari?" Collei's voice echoed through the empty halls of their apartment. 'Could he be asleep?' She thought before stepping forth the creaking floors and the worn-down planks beneath her feet.

Inching closer to her friend's door, she meekly knocked.

*knock* *knock*

"Tighnari?"

Her head tilted like a confused puppy before continuing.

*knock* *knock*

"Hello..?" She opened the door ever so slightly to see a curled up figure on the fox's bed. "Master Tighnari?" She called out, eyes squinting at such a dark dim room.

"..Collei?" A faint rumbling noise was heard by a hoarse voice replying back. "Master? Are you okay?" Opening the door wider to show the clear line of light that entered the room. "Ah- Close the door, Collei.."  He winced at the sight of bear bright light.

"Oh! Sorry!" She quickly closed the door behind her. Her intention was to get out  of the room, yet she's in the complete opposite situation.

Silence rang the room till the fox finally broke the ever-lasting hush sound of silence. "Do.. you need anything?" Grunts and groans all over as every possible stabbing pain was inflected through his body, trying to sit up properly to face his friend, it used every single braincell and being in him.

"No.. no! It's alright now.. But what about you? You look sick.." She frowned, pity reflecting from her pink magenta eyes.

"I'll be —ngh.. fine, Collei. I just need rest, that's all." He reassured the frantic yet worried ranger. Waving a hand back and forth with a sincere grin, he spoke. "Seriously, I'll be fine." His voice soft and fluffy, how could Collei doubt him?

Still, she knew how little self worth Tighnari had in himself. So she made a few plans right after their session.

"God.." The fox stretched, it didn't really help that his limbs practically felt like they were being pricked to death from every passing minute. Nonetheless, he had to make do with whatever he could muster up the courage to.

Shifting his feet to the ground, he felt the cold wooden planks graze his bare feet. Cold.. He thought, a shiver went down his spine. Tail wagging back and forth on the bed, causing the sheets and blankets to ruffle in motion. He rubbed his eyes and let out a long-awaited sigh.

I better get up, he kept repeating to himself before his ears picked up a familiar scent and sound.

Looking at the clear glass window, he saw it was bright as day. A breath of relief escaped his lips. He never knew how the bright light from the sun could comfort him beyond repair. In his eyes, it feels pathetic, truly pathetic.

Getting up reluctantly, he opened the door ever so slightly to take a peak of the outside world.

Hot chocolate.
The warm scent of home brushed pass his nose and entered his room. Where could this be coming from, he wondered.

His nimble feet stepping on the creaky floor, tail down with his ears on high alert. His curiosity got the better of him and he followed the familiar smell.

Though his body screamed in agony and pain, he couldn't care less. The smell almost felt like a magnet pulling him closer and closer. Like his body had a mind of its own that wasn't his.
