It was the day for Evers and Nevers to unlock their finger glow. Agatha was searching for Sophie while CJ, Jamie and Evan were looking for Mia. Agatha bumped into CJ and luckily, he caught her.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"Have you seen Sophie?"
"Sadly, no. Have you seen Mia?"
"She's still in the dormitory. The fairies were eager to put flowers in her hair. She said they'd miss her." Agatha answered. And with that, they parted ways, but not before exchanging longing glances.
When Mia arrived, she confidently walked, trying to find her friends.
"Lose something? Or just looking for another face to punch?" Tedros said, appearing from her side.
"Can't find the boys and Agatha. I just want to make sure they're okay." Mia said, still trying to look for her friends.
Tedros then started to follow her around, "Well, I'm sure they won't miss this. Big day today. Both schools finally get access to their magic. Hey, you should know some people are saying you're a witch, Agatha too."
Mia snorts,"Yeah I've heard that before."
"Well... For the record, I don't think you are." Tedros said confidently.
"Yeah? Then what am I?"
"I wish i knew. Because you're sure not like anybody I've ever met before."
Mia rolled her eyes at his antique. She was about to walk away when she tripped into his sword. Tedros caught her before she fell. Their close proximity made both their hearts pound. It felt so...natural. As if it was meant to be.
"I...I can't do this." Mia whispered.
"Do what? Uh, fall down?" Tedros asked, making Mia giggle.
"SHUT UP!" Lady Lesso screeched. "Everyone find your seats. Lets begin."
"To access one's magic, one must first unlock one's finger glow." Professor Dovey stated.
"Once you've mastered your finger glow, it will prove to be invaluable." Lady Lesso added.
"I can't wait!" Keiko said to Mia. "They say some people can transform into animals when they have their magic. I want to turn into a cat at night so I can sleep under a stove. Oh, it'd be so warm."
Mia nodded. Then she thought about her magic. She has a theory that once she does access her finger glow, she wouldn't need spells, just thoughts to get things done. Maybe this time she can transform into a dragon like Mal.
"Shall we?" Lady Lesso asked as her and Professor Dovey showed the students their keys.
"Have no fear, Evers. Good feels no pain." Professor Dovey reassured.
