I don't trust a lot, but I think I trust you

I keep to myself, but I'm crazy as well

And I know I don't know a lot about you

And you know you don't know a lot about me

But, I'll give you my time if you give me your mind

Elowen Corbray was the only daughter of Lord Baldric Corbray, an overproud man from a small and poor house. Born from a marriage of love, Elowen grew up with very little. She found comfort and care under the watchful eye of her Septa, blossoming into a bright and quick-witted girl. Though nothing seemed to win her Lord Baldric's affection. The man was too overcome with his want for a son, dooming his wife to a life confined to the birthing bed and abandoning his only child in the process.

When no son came after years of trying, Lord Baldric turned to his daughter. He knew it would be difficult to find her an advantageous match. Despite her mother sharing blood with the Warden of the East Elowen was a Corbray, a small insignificant House located on the  northern shore overlooking a glacial river. Heart's Home was nestled in one of the Mountain's of the Moon's many valleys, their treasury was nearly empty and the lands were bleak.

So Baldric visited his Good Brother, traveling to the Eyrie with his daughter in hopes a friendship would grow between Elowen and Aemma Arryn; the future Queen of the Seven Realms through her upcoming marriage to her cousin, Prince Viserys Targaryen.

Both girls were lonely in their own right and found a bond so strong that it could only be tested by death. When Aemma made the journey to King's Landing, Elowen followed. She prepared the older girl for her wedding and cared for her after the consummation.

As the Queen's Lady-in-waiting and the only connection either had to their home, the two became the closest of confidants. Where the Aemma was kindhearted and softspoken, Elowen was protective and fiercely loyal. Their friendship ran so deep that the court whispered of their closeness, though Aemma paid no mind. And when Aemma welcomed her first child to the world, Elowen was by her side holding the Queen's hand. At Rhaenyra's first cries, Aemma had turned to Elowen proclaiming she was an aunt now.
