Sophie opened her eyes to the searing light of her room. She immediately freshened up and grabbed her satchel. Just as she was fixing her Level Four cape, Someone knocked on the door.

"Its open, Sandor!" Sophie called, wondering what he needed when someone unexpected peeped through the door

"Actually, its me" A strawberry-blond elf said.

"Dex? What are you doing here?" Sophie asked feeling very uncomfortable. She hadn't really had a real conversation with one of her friends since the "Everglen Incident".

"Sorry for coming unannounced. I just stoped by to see how you were doing. I mean, I know you just dealt with Elysian, and now this? Its probably a lot considering the one mainly effected is..." He trailed of, but they both knew what he was going to say. Your boyfriend.

"No, i-its alright. I was actually just heading out. Do you want to leap to Foxfire using our leapmaster?"

"Sure." Dex said, and they both awkwardly walked up the stairs in silence. Was this how it was always going to be like with her friends?

"Foxfire!" Dex shouted, bringing Sophie out of her thoughts. Sophie wraped her conscience around herself as the light, again, burned her eyes and took her away to Foxfire.

As Sophie walked down Foxfire's halls, she couldn't help but remember when she first got there, the way she couldn't remember any of her sessions, the way she still was worrying about her human family, they way she burned herself in alchemy and had to go to the healing center but somehow ended up finding... and there she was. Back to worrying about Keefe. But she couldn't help herself! The last time Keefe found out his mom was doing something weird he ran away!  She took a deep breath and pushed all those thoughts into her "deal with later" box. She thought after confessing all the boy drama the box would feel a little empty. But nope. There's always something to worry about. Speaking of worrying, Sophie remembered that midterms were coming up. So she picked up her pace and finally got to her locker.

"You good?" Marella asked from beside her, also opening up her locker.

"Oh, yeah. Just..thinking." Sophie said, both of them turning around and grabbing their books

"Mmmmhm." Marella said, elongating it to make it sound extra questionable. "And let me guess, walking around Foxfire has made you think about your oh-so-worrysome boyfriend, and you cant get your mind off of him."

"Pretty much."

"Well, I think, with midterms coming up, you should relax and focus on studies. And I'm not trying to sound like a boring adult. But seriously. Eat, study, sleep, repeat."

"Emphasis on the sleep part." Biana said, appearing behind them and resting her elbows on their shoulders. "Seriously. You need sleep."

"Yeah, yeah." Sophie said as Biana sighed.

"When is Sophie going to realize that she needs to listen to the people who love her?" Biana asked, staring up into space as if she was sending a prayer.

"Okay guys, I'm going to head to class." Sophie said smiling and waving goodbye then cursing herself because she would be late to her linguistics session. Why did it have to be all the way in the silver tower? But, luckily, on her way there, she saw a familiar face. A gorgeous one, even.

"Keefe?" She asked looking him up and down to make sure he was "a-okay"

"Hey" He said, offering her a fake smile. She didn't care if she would be late to her session. This was far more important.

"Are you okay?" She asked, sitting down next to him.

"Kinda not really. It's just hard, you know?" He said, looking down at his shuffling boots. Sophie responded by holding his hand.

"Is there anything I can do?" Keefe lolled his head onto her shoulder. Then he let out a small whimper and turned his head to cry on her shoulder. They both didn't know how long they were there. But Sophie was sure she had missed her session because next thing she knew, students were pouring out of rooms and walking to lunch. But the tears kept coming. So even though people were staring, Sophie stayed and tried to be a good girlfriend.
