You had a bad day and came home to hear melvinborg yelling "Welcome back dear!" it made you smile a bit hearing him you just couldn't wait to tell him about your day, he was working on supper [Male wife moment] his smile was priceless! He asked you how your day went you smiled "it was great melvin, how was yours?" and then he full-on ranted about his day "My day was great! However, your mother called and ask uhh if D/N was home I told her that you went out and that its Y/N but she told me that my little girl will always be D/N I hung up" your mother didn't support you sadly, this made your day bad you almost cried hearing your dead name. You came out at age 13 but she won't let go of the fact you were Y/N, not D/N anymore, you walked off when he realized the mood you were in. he chased after you.

You walked into the bedroom and sat on the side of the bed and cried, you did love your mom but you always being dead named was no fun, you just sat there and covered your face with your hands he finally came in and asked "you okay Y/N? Your mom can be a pain in the ass and a bitch but if she can't let go of the fact that you identify as a male then break contact with her, I'm sorry but I'm just trying to help you, you don't have to" hearing him say that made something click, she can't let go of you, no not you the old you, your father named you and he passed before you met him, she told you that your father gave you that name the only thing she has left of your father is.. You, it took you years to finally realize that. She can't let go of him, your dead name, you are the last things she has of him. Melvinborg seeing you drifting off and whispering to yourself made him sit down beside you and just hold you he kissed your cheek and you came back to reality and hold him back, you sat there just in each other embrace for 20-30 minutes. When you finally let go he asked "are you, okay love" he grabs your hand and you replied "I'm alright I was just in my head for a bit, and thank you hun" you smile and he smiles back and kisses your head and then... You guys smell smoke...
