A/N -- Hi sweet Beatle people! Finally, I put an update together. I know it's been awhile, but I just wasn't sure which way I was going to go with the story. Since I've worked that out, here we go. Hope you are enjoying some cooler, but not too cold, weather and hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, if you celebrate. So make a cuppa tea and have a seat--enjoy! love, Lara xo
They talked the night away until Desiree promised to go to work the next day and talk to Vladimir. By the time she left, Kate barely had time before she thought George might be home. The phone rang just as she exited the shower and she raced to answer it.
"George?"
"How did you know it was me?"
"Who else is going to call me at midnight?"
"Oh, I don't know. The milkman? Postman? Delivery guy from the store? Trash collector? Just wanting to know if your wayward husband is home, which he probably isn't."
"Jesus. I'm busted now," she giggled. "And you better get your ass home, because I'm standing here in my birthday suit."
"Does this lead to phone sex? Because if it does, I need to find another phone!" he joked.
Kate laughed and took the barrette out of her hair to let it tumble down. "When are you coming home?"
"Soon actually. I just wanted to check on you after the disaster at the Cavern."
"I'm fine, baby," she assured him. "Desiree just left. We had a glass of wine and chatted for quite a long time."
"Good. Now why don't you go to bed and get some sleep? I'm still going to be awhile."
"Wake me when you get home."
"No. I want you to get some sleep."
"Please wake me, George. I want to see your face. I won't see it for an entire week after tomorrow."
He laughed. "Okay. I'll wake you."
