A/N -- Salutations Beatlemaniacs! Since it was kind of a somber day yesterday because of George's 80th birthday, I managed to work on an update! I know---I surprised myself too! Lots of drama and trouble brewing for everyone...always a problem no matter where you go. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and didn't get the 4 feet of snow California got. Although, I can see the mountains and it looks like a painted picture with the heavy snow cover. Lots melted today, but more is coming. Kate watched him for any signs of bullshit, and found none. It would be so easy for him to pull the wool over her eyes, but Kate sensed none of that. He looked at her sincerely, his eyes rimmed with tears.
"Kate, I'm fucking freezing. Can we go inside and talk more? If you still want to leave, taxis come through here every 5 minutes."
He was her husband and she loved him with every cell in her body. "Okay," she agreed and hooked her arm through his...if she fell, she was taking him with her.

The tea the owner dropped off earlier was miraculously still warm and Kate shivered as she poured 2 mugs when they got back to the room.
"Take your coat off. You'll warm up quicker," George told her, helping to remove her winter coat. He rubbed her arms over her sweater after putting the mugs back down on the table.
