"Now listen to me, boy." Archbishop Andrew addressed Marion severely, as Siren tried to catch her breath on the sofa. He held the scissors to Marion's nose. "Everyone thinks the Saintess is more of a miracle worker than she is. Right now, her magic is basically holding you together like stitches, you aren't back to normal it just looks and feels that way. Move around too much, and you will rip out the magic stitches and not even the Saintess will be able to put you back together. Healing magic and potions won't even work on you for the next two weeks so don't take any chances."
He then started casting some kind of sanitizing magic on his tools as he put them away. "Two days of bed rest and one thirty-minute walk on each day as exercise MAXIMUM." He slammed something away in this case. "After that, five days of light exercise. Walk, jog, play ball with your sister. But... No Magic... No Aura... No Skills... no sparing, and absolutely no fighting."
Marion clicked his tongue. Which only set off the ornery man.
"You will be assigned someone to watch you, whether it is me, the saintess or another priest skill with restraining magic. You will rest, compliance or no. If you even breathe near a sword, I'll have you wrapped in so many restraints they will call me a curse specialist. Do I make myself clear?" The Archbishop threatened because if Marion did 'pull a stitch' it would ruin the Saintess's reputation.
"Crystal..." Marion sighed.
"Good, after two weeks you can go for round two with the Witch Queen and the Dragoness at the same time for all I care." The Archbishop said.
"I do have one question, Archbishop." Marion said as he sat up on the bed.
The Archbishop gave him a warning look.
"Can I eat solid foods again?" Marion asked.
"Ah... I was half expecting- never mind." The Archbishop shook his head and remembered to be somewhat respectful since he was asking a valid health related question. "Yes, but only eat a moderate amount. And if you can help it, stay away from excessive greasy food, vegetables with high magic concentration, and of course, potions. They won't do you any good and they are more likely to sit in your stomach until your body rejects them and forces them out."
"Thank you, archbishop, and thank you Saintess. I wish you well with your stay." Marion said as he ran his finger over his stomach where a hole had once been.

Marion Selected No and gave a bit more credit to the Archbishop's words when he said Marion was just barely holding together.

The next day, Marion decided to take up Alchemy for the sake of curing his father, and since it was something that he could do in his recovery. He toted Erabella along and today Miles joined them however he was finally dressed in somewhat regular clothes and shoes.
Erabella hummed as she carried Stormy and when they got to the library, she ran to the monster books that had collections of monsters in them. Marion had taught her how to read a little bit, but she had picked up the most of her literacy from the maids and nannies after Marion started going into the forest to find a cure for their mother. She saw Marion and Novak reading so much during that time and she didn't want to be excluded.
"Alchemy huh?" Miles asked when he say the beginner alchemy books Marion selected.
"Yep, it's not like I can just sit around and do nothing while Dad wastes away." Marion said. He didn't hate studying... but he didn't love it either. Luckily, in this fantasy world he could collect some knowledge and treat it like a fantasy adventure. It was better than algebra and chemistry.
