Marion was used to having dinner in his room for... well most of his life, at the very least he wasn't used to having dinner in the actual dining room. Since their family was so sickly, they had breakfast together sometimes but usually at least for the last year he had been having dinner in his father's office while working.

Not to mention that he was still recovering. But when his mom showed up with the lady Saint, she gave her all clear for him to join them and eat solid food. Then the lady saint was scandalized when Marion was being changed into dining clothes... which he didn't even know he had. Apparently, his mom had been shopping recently with his measurements to update his wardrobe on one of her expeditions with Delora.

Irina insisted the Lady Saint make sure every part of his body was properly healed and to verify that the magic had officially taken hold. And that Marion could withstand the stress of trying on the many different clothes. There was also a teasing glimmer in her eye that only Corsair managed to catch. And so Marion was forced to put on a fashion show for Irina and a blushing Lady Saint for two hours before dinner.

Marion was tired after the ordeal, however when Irina stepped up and made sure his hair was just right and gave him an energy drink potion, he knew something was up. But when he asked, all she said was that a troublesome person followed her brother here for Marion and that he best be on his guard.

Marion's costume for dinner was a classy red naval uniform inspired suit. A black undershirt was the perfect backdrop for the dark red of the suit accented with golden tassels. The matte finish of the fabric completed the severe look with a golden emblazoned crossed sword and skull emblem on the glossy black liner of his cape.

The look was finished with the accessories that his mother provided. A pair of matching highwater boots laced up to his knees. Glossy black half gloves that covered his fingers but showed off his wrists like they were teasing at something. And just a hint of black eyeliner at her insistence.

"Mother, Is this costume really necessary?" Marion asked as he straightened his sword on his belt and examined his new gloves. They held to him with a magic sewing technique so that they remained in place while none of the seams jutted out. They perfectly contoured to his hand, and he felt no restriction while wearing them. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the lady saint with her face buried in her hands with steam from the embarrassment coming out of her ears.

"An important lesson you must understand as a noble that I haven't been about to teach you yet is the importance of appearance." Irina explained. "Faith in the nobles rises and falls like the wind currents and so one must be conscious of every eye and every ear. We have the luxury of living in a territory where our residents love us because of the prosperous age your father has led. But it is because of his sickly appearance he must do twice as much to maintain his image. Chasing away the witch-queen with Aura has reaffirmed their confidence in him and his continued leadership, but he must actively hide the symptoms of his illness so that he doesn't lose that confidence." Irina explained as she touched up the last details of his outfit and then even applied some light make up to his face.

"You are his successor, the sooner you are seen healthy and able to roam around, the better. And being the chosen champion of The Cavalier Corsair only puts more expectations on your shoulders. His worship has spread around the territory like wildfire ever since my recovery with another resurgence since Novak's Sword Aura was revealed again putting him back on the list for potential Sword Saint. Some rumors I've helped spread for our own benefit, and others that wildly exaggerated the grandeur of the situations." Irina finished the concealer she added and started adding a touch of eyeliner to make his eyes under his glasses more severe.
