Siren Southwell was the name of the saint that had entered Marion's room. She was devoted to the temple by her commoner parents when her talent was discovered. Her specific talent was to use healing magic in a way that wasn't impaired by the body's natural resistance to healing magics and restoratives. Which was incredibly valuable to those who suffered severe or even mortal injuries.
When Marion greeted them, the saintess peeped like she was about to say something but the Archbishop cut her off.
"We recognize your manners, but as a patient you should save your strength and not speak directly to her holiness too much." The Archbishop said as nicely as he possibly could but there was still a stern and possessive warning behind his words.
Then he gasped and the holy knights reached for their swords. "What is that?" he pointed at Stormy who was doing his gross thing where he licked his own eyeball. "Monster!"
The holy knights drew their swords as the Archbishop painfully grabbed the Saintess and wretched her back. Erebella screamed and Stormy narrowed his eye as if going into guard dog mode. Luckily Miles had his wand strapped to his arm and with a wave of his hand the holy knights were thrown back and pinned to the wall.
Meanwhile when Stormy managed to jump from Erabella's arms he flew around the room and knocked the cowl from the Saintess's head before being swatted away by the Archbishop. Marion managed to leap from the bed very painfully, summoned the arm guard and grabbed the tail of the one eyed creature with his left arm covered in armor that hadn't been there a second ago.
Stormy reflexively wrapped itself around Marion's arm and sunk its teeth into Marion's arm through the armor, but only just broke the skin thanks to the extra padding. In order to keep from losing more hp due to the stitches in his stomach ripping out and the storm kraken threatening to saw through his armor, Marion activated the lifeforce inside of him and woke up with his new [Inner Charybdis] skill.
He pulled off his glasses and met Stormy's manic eye with his own now swirling and glowing violet eyes.
"Down boy." Marion said with a wave of oppressive force and Stormy returned to his senses.
Stormy loosened his constricted grip around Marion's arm and let go with his teeth. Stormy tried to lick it better in apology. No that it was safe he retracted the armor and was pleased with how easy it was to use. Even though there were a couple small holes in Marion's arm they didn't start bleeding until he put his glasses back on and turned off Charybdis. As soon as he did his arm started bleeding and a red spot in his stomach appeared.
"Archbishop, I'd appreciate it if you didn't scare our family guard dog. Stormy ate a man's face off who tried to kidnap my sister. I would rather not have to explain to anyone why you don't have a face later." Marion said as he cradled Stormy and patted its head while shushing the monster like a mother calming a child. He scratched it under its wing and the storm kraken relaxed until it basically turned to goo, like a relaxed cat.
Marian nodded at Miles who let the knights go. Then Marion poured Stormy into Erabella's arms and patted her head since she was sniffling while looking at Marion who was bleeding. "Miss Saintess if you would be so kind. I think I ripped a stitch..." He said as he sat on the edge of the bed and began to unbutton his shirt.
He caught the eyes of the Saintess and stopped buttoning his shirt as he noticed her shocked face and her crimson eyes met his violet gaze over his glasses.
"Well well well. That may complicate some things..." Marion said as he straightened his glasses. "...Welcome to the game, maiden Siren Southwell."
