My cell phone alarm went off in my bedroom and I came out of my bathroom to turn it off.

"Oatmeal" was the name of the alarm that Chiara had setted in my phone to remember me that I need to eat.

Is it already 4 pm?

I got out of the bathroom and took the towel out of my hair to let it dry naturally. I put on a pair of lingerie to match and put a fur robe on top, ready for another afternoon watching series.

The house has been empty since Saturday afternoon, a mission that has taken the group to be out for three days. Romeo sent me a vague message saying that they were going to Colombia to handle an important business.

And I had to admit that I was sad and angry that they didn't include me in the mission. Just me and the maids and guards in this huge house.

Nicola's visit to my room Friday night got me thinking about him and in more ways to tease him. Having the effect I had on the mob boss is something I won't waste to make his life hell.

I went down the stairs to the living room and immediately a maid handed me my afternoon snack. I took it with a grateful smile and headed to the couch to finish watching "The Vampire Diaries" while I ate.

Team Damon, obviously.

Without my usual workload - when I worked at a newspaper - and without Alessandro's training, I feel bored and unwilling to do anything.

Normally, days like this would be much appreciated by me. Days when I could sleep late and join Amy for a walk. Or just to go out at night and get my mind off the amount of work I had.

I miss that, my work, my old life.

The contract I signed made me a prisoner of this house and a prisoner of an illegal life. Not being used to being treated like a princess, having my food cooked and the dishes washed, having someone buy me tobacco and clothes. It's strange, going from a life where every coin was worth a treasure and now having a great salary where I don't spend for nothing.

"I hate this part of the series" I heard a soft and feminine voice speaking at the door of the living room "I only like the serie when Elena and Stefan are together, it's beautiful".

I smiled at Chiara as she walked over to the sofa and sat down next to me. She was dressed in white leggins and a light green sweater on top. Her long blonde hair was tied in a bun on top of her head.

"I thought you went to Columbia" I said pausing the series with the command.

"Nah, I got stuck here checking out Nicola's clinics" she said crossing her legs on top of the couch.

"Oh, so that is real?" I asked with a straight face.

She let out a laugh "Yes, it's very real actually"I reached for the pack of tobacco on the table and took out a cigarette "Nicola created these clinics for me" she said while I gave her one of my cigarettes and she took it.

I scoffed "Oh he was good to someone, finally".

She lit the cigarette and handed me the lighter "He has a beautiful heart, Serena" and I choked on the smoke with the amount of laughter I wanted to come out "He does! I swear".

"If you say so," I said, inhaling more of the thick white smoke.

She took the ashtray and put it between us "My mother sold me to Nicola's father" she began "I was five and treated like a toy by his father's men" she expelled smoke and tears appeared in the corner of her eyes. Oh, that I was not expecting. She was a toy to his father men? Fucking disgusting.
"I only stopped being seen as such when Nicola said he was in love with me and that he wanted to marry me" she laughed and wiped a tear with the sleeve of her shirt "He knew that as soon as I had my period for the first time his father would sell me to anyone who would give a reasonable price"she paused to exhale smoke.
