Yesterday's Night at Dinner...
She was having dinner with her family. Her father and mother sitting infront of each and She and her brother across them facing each other. "Kimchi is little bit sour Eomma." Hobi said.
"Is it? I don't think so." His mom replied. "And This soup is a bit salty." Her Appa said as her mother tasted it and just gave a look to him. "And Eomma, Vegetables in Ramen are bit raw, it didn't boil well." She spoke being a part of family but she didn't know where it will lead her to.
Her mom thump on the table as she put the down chopsticks, "Isn't it too much? Like I work for this family just to listen all this? I cooked for everyone that doesn't mean it's all my fault. Sometimes you should give a try to cooking too. You just know how to eat and stay in your bed. Do you even help me?" Her mother's tone was going rude and Y/n looked blankly at her.
"Aniyo Eomma, I didn't mean to offend you. It's fine. I'm eating it well and about helping you in kitchen then when you ask for my help? If you would have asked then I would have helped you." Y/n said calmly in her respective tone.
"Don't you have eyes? Why you can't come yourself? You watch your dramas without asking me. You eat without asking me. You sleep with your will, roam here and there with your will then why your brain doesn't work at time of some work?" She yelled at her.
Y/n felt offended, She looked at her Appa who was quiet, her brother who seemed to enjoy it. "Eomma!! I never do anything like time pass. I study. I study for my good grades which you show off to your relatives. You're yelling at me without any reason. It's unfair." Y/n spatted out while her throat hurt to even spoke those simple lines to her own mom.
"How dare you speak like that to Mom? Don't you have anything like manners?" Hobi, her brother but in too. "Oppa.. It's between Eomma and me, Why are you butting in without any reason?" Y/n replied to him too.
"Y/n.. It's enough. Control your tongue. Lock your mouth right now. Just learn to stay quiet on some situations." His Appa said. "Just like you Appa?" She asked ironically stating the fact. "Now you must be happy enough to give her freedom to speak freely right? You're enjoying it now?" Her Mom looked at her Appa who was glaring at you.
"That's all because of you. You never taught her how to behave." Her Appa said to her Mom. "That's on me too. Wow!! Look Hobi. He's always like this. Never found fault in her daughter but in me. He himself never taught her anything, Just give her freedom that's why she dared to speak like that. To her Mom, Her Dad, To you."
"Eomma!! She's the problem. She is always the root of every fight happen in this house." Hobi replied. You looked at him in disbelief. You scoffed feeling pathetic that your those simple words are turning to a big fight without any reason, without your fault.
"Hobi shut up. Stay quiet." Her Appa warned him. "No Appa, why would I? Students of her age are mature enough to not to be a burden on their family. They find ways to survive themselves, study hard to achieve something big but she just stay in her bed, doesn't help mom at any case and gave an excuse of study. Also she talks back with everyone like she doesn't even respect our age."
"Like you know how to behave with your only sister? And which maturity and burden you're talking about when you himself couldn't pass your scholarship test at my age, and took Appa's money to go and study abroad. You even took money from mom when she doesn't even earn and she happily gave just for her dear son to spend." She formed fist and spatted out all when her voice herself was breaking.
Her family never cared, never have they seen her crying even when she cried infront of them. Just like that day, her voice was breaking, her eyes were red, she sniffed in between talking but they noticed? No.. not at all. They never cared. For them, It was okay.
