As I'm walking through the passage way that leads to the office, the only thing going on in my head is "God don't let me be a stripper" and another voice at the back of my head asking me how I intend on paying rent without a job.
"Ok, we're here" That's what i hear as Adi's loud voice pulls me out of my trance.
I take note of my surroundings and realize that we are in front of a big matte black door with CEO written on it.
Really wasn't expecting that in a club but oh well, we get what we get.
"So I'm gonna leave you here, we'll be waiting for you in the club arena so come find us when you're done or just call Sharon" Adi continues as my anxiety spikes up at an all time high
"You got this bitch just breathe" my bestie tries to encourage me but it makes me even more nervous
They leave me standing outside the door and I'm shaking on my feet
I don't know what to expect when I open that door but if there's a God out there, let it not be a creepy old man. Thanks
I breathe frantically then try to knock
Bitch pls knock properly, I hear from my subconscious then I knock again and someone responded with come in from inside
I open the doors and I'm met with the same blue eyes from last night
God, pls let this be a joke... I'm already embarrassed as it is
"Hi, beautiful I see we meet again" Kevin says and I feel my legs tighten
How can one man have this effect on me and how am I going to manage seeing him if I start working here.
When I realize that I haven't given him an answer yet I mutter a "hello Sir" that I'm sure he didn't hear
"Ok, since we are done with formalities how can I help you" I guess he heard me after all, whew I really wasn't going to repeat that again
"I'm expecting an answer soon " he continues and I notice that I haven't given him an answer
"Well a friend referred me to you, I'm looking for a job and she said you could help" I finally muster the courage to reply.
"How good are you at pole dancing?" He asks and i open my mouth like a fish out of water even if i know that's what I was going to do
I was just hoping that there would be another opening
"Is that the only opening available Sir?" I ask praying that he would just remember another vacancy but my heart shattered when he said yes
I think I'm going to die.
