💜Yuri x Male Reader🤍-Library Date(Requested)

Another requested one-shot hope you guys enjoy it, also guys I used y/f/b/g for (your favorite book genre) because I don't know what the proper abbreviation is, and y/e/c for(your eye color)

Yuris(POV)

I tapped my foot nervously on the carpeted floor of the library, I anxiously pulled out my phone and checked the time. I wonder if y/n was going to show up for our date. He had asked me to go out with him yesterday and I accepted of course. 

I had never been on a date before and didn't want to be late so I got here 45 minutes early, I was worried he wouldn't show up because maybe he ditched me for a more popular or attractive girl. 

I sighed and stared at my phone, he was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago, maybe I am overreacting, I twirled my hair around my finger as I waited for y/n to arrive.  I heard the sound of quick and heavy footsteps approaching me. 

I lifted my head up and I saw that it was y/n, I greeted him with a warm smile. 

Y/n(POV)

"Yuri I am so sorry that I am late, I went to go pick up the flowers I ordered for you and they weren't ready yet." I paused to catch my breath and extended the flowers out to her. Yuri gently took the flowers and smelled them. 

"Mmm, y/n these are my favorite, how did you know?" Yuri looked up at me. I held my hand up to my face to hide the blush that was slowly creeping over my cheeks. "I uh, I picked out something I thought you would like." I stuttered.

Yuri set the flowers down on the table that was beside her, "Well I'd say you got lucky and chose the right flowers." Yuri laughed, and she motioned for me to sit down beside her. 

I sat down in the chair that was beside the one Yuri was sitting in, we sat there in awkward silence for a moment. I dared to break it by saying something, "So Yuri, what type of books do you like reading?" I winced at how dumb of a question that was to ask her. 

Yuri(POV)

Did he just ask me what kind of books I like reading? I was kind of shocked, I expected him to ask me if he wanted to go back to his place or something, most guys I think find the library to be quite...boring. 

 "My favorite book genre is horror, what about you?" I looked over at y/n curiously, I wondered if he reads. "Wow, I didn't expect you to be into horror, personally I like to read y/f/b/g." y/n said. 

"Personally I've never read that genre before but it sounds good." I smiled at him. "Well y/n, do you want to come with me to find a book to read, we can find you one too?" I started to stand up. 

Y/n stood up after me, "Sure, why not?" I walked closer to y/n and held his hand, y/n looked me in the eyes, and his y/e/c glistened in the bright light of the library.

 I supposed he was shocked that I held his hand on our first date, I laughed quietly, he looked like a blushing mess.

"Come on y/n let's go find you a book."
