It's been a week since Xander brought me here and I still have been unsuccessfully able to come up with an escape plan. But I needed to get home. I'm sure my work must have called the police after me not showing up for work for seven days. And my parents, I talked to the at least every other day. They must be worried sick.
Xander was in some sort of meeting and the house was pretty much empty. I walked down stairs. And towards the door. I opened it expecting to be stopped but no one was here. I walked out side and slowly shut the door. I looked around absolutely no one. I took a deep breath and took off running, I was close to the gates that led to my freedom when I noticed men standing guard, before they could see me, I bee-lined into the forest. I felt like I was home free when..
"Eleanor!" Xander was right behind me.
I pressed harder. He grabbed a fist full of my hair and yanked me backwards. I was slammed against his body. Thrashing like crazy. He just held me tight. After about five minutes I grew tired and just went limp."Are you going to be have?" Xander asked.
I just nodded.
He released me and instantly I took off again.
He grabbed me wrist and pulled me back I screamed out in pain hearing an audible snap. Xander pinned me against a tree still squeezing my wrist. His eyes were no longer green they were silver. And he looked beyond pissed.
"You're hurting me!" I screamed he didn't let go his grip grew tighter causing me to scream again. "Xander, please, your hurting me" I started crying. "Please let go. I'll stay. I promise!"
His eyes slowly changed back to green and he let go. I cradled me wrist knowing he broke it. He put his hand on my back and silently led me back to the house. And then to Julia's office. He opened the door, walked me in and left.
Julia looked up at me from her desk and sighed. "What did he do this time?"
I held up my wrist to her.
"Sit down and let me have a look,".
I sat down on the table. Julia examined my wrist and determined it was a clean break and just needed a cast.
"You can't be too mad at him. The poor boy never got the chance to learn how to be an Alfa. He was just thrown into the position after his parents died. He was so young too, only seventeen. And he was expected to lead a pack while dealing with the loss of both his parents. He's done a fairly good job. A little head strong but he's doing the best he can," Julia spoke as she wrapped up my arm.
"I didn't know his parents where gone," I couldn't imagine not having my parents around. I winced when she moved my arm.
" yeah a few years back there was a huge war between packs," she sighed "we lost so many of our people. I lost my husband and son. Once the Alfa and Luna were killed we had to surrender, they took all our land and left us with next to nothing," she spoke with such sorrow.
"I'm so sorry," I whispered, not sure how to comfort her properly.
She just smiled and finished casting my wrist. " Okay while you're here, we might as well remove those stitches, lay on your stomach."
I did as instructed. She lifted up my shirt and started removing the stitches. I was a short less painful process and soon she was done and I was sitting up again.
"I still don't understand why he just won't let me go"
She gave me a soft smile, " honey, even if he wanted to let you go he couldn't." She started walking out.
I stood up and followed her, "but why can't he?"
She turned to look at me, "like I said before. Once you meet your mate you can't leave them. How do you think he knew you were trying to get away?"
I took a deep breath and went in search of Xander. No one was on the first floor . I found Kyle on the second floor talking to some other guys.
"Where is he?" I shouted.
Kyle pointed to a closed door. I took off in the detection, "but he's not alone!" He shouted behind but it's too late I threw open the door.
He wasn't alone. He was with Mandy. They were tangled up on a couch together. they didn't even pull apart to notice me.
I cleared my throat to get there attention. They both looked up at me. Mandy had a smirk, while Xander didn't have an expression.
"We're busy here," Mandy snarled.
I ignored her, " Xander, we need to talk".
I saw his eyes flicker to my wrist then back up to my eyes. He made it impossible to act tough.
"Mandy, give us a minute," I wasn't a suggestion, it was an order.
She scoffed while getting up, and slammed her shoulder into mine as she left.
"Why were you kissing her?" Not really the question I came in here to ask.
He chuckled and walked over to me. He traced his fingers along my jaw line and leaned in so I could feel his breath on my ear, giving me chills.
"Is someone getting jealous? I thought you don't want to be here with me?"
He circled me so he was standing behind me. His hands rubbing my shoulders.
"I-I'm not jealous. Just from what Julia has been telling me about mates it doesn't really sound like you would have eyes for anyone else" Good job Ellie, I thought to myself. I was staying strong and composed.
He got close to my ear again, "I do only have eyes for you, my mate," he started kissing down my neck and I let him.
My mind was screaming to stop him but I couldn't. His hands started roaming and all I could manage was to stay still. A small moan escaped my throat and at that instant, Xander bit down. My moan turned to a scream. Then I felt something. A pleasure that didn't belong to me. Oh no this pleasure belonged to Xander. I didn't know how I knew that but I did. What did Julia say about being marked? Is that what he just did?
I jumped out of his embrace and turned to look at him. His eyes were silver.
"Did you just mark me?" I shouted reaching for my sore neck. Sure enough there was blood.
"I see Julia has told you a lot about being a mate," his voice was husky. "You are mine to mark. And on the plus side, you lever want to leave," he walked over to his desk and sat down. "You can tell Mandy she can come back in,".
That made my blood boil. "No!" I shouted.
He looked up with a smirk. My knees went weak. "You say you're not jealous, but now I know for a fact you are. Would you rather it be you I pin down to the couch and make love too?"
My face was on fire, "no" I mumbled.
"Oh Eleanor, you can't lie to me anymore"
I stomped my foot like a child "I just want to go home."
"Well this is your home so you better get use to it!" He shouted obviously not pleased with me still wanting to leave.
I stormed out of the room and ran up to the library. I needed a story to comfort me, so I located J. K Rowling's Harry Potter and dove right in.
I missed home so much. If I couldn't get out of here I at least needed to get a message to my family letting them know I'm alive.
