The Arrival

I woke up alone in Xander's bed. It had been a few days since the first night I slept in Xander's bed and every night since I couldn't sleep until I was laying with him. I've been avoiding Kyle feeling guilty about the whole thing. Even though Xander hasn't been avoiding Mandy.

Looking at the clock I realized it was almost noon. I jumped out of the bed and ran to my room. I quickly got dressed and ran down stairs.

"Where's Xander?" I asked the closest person to me.

"Alfa is in his office, Luna," the young girl answered in a timid voice.

I took off running to him office, I didn't even bother to knock.

"We need to go or we'll be late picking up my parents from the airport!" I shouted. Just then realizing Xander was in a meeting with Kyle and a few other pack members.

I gave Kyle a shy smile instantly feeling bad for avoiding him and guilty for lying to him.

"Please excuse your Luna, it seems she forgot to knock," Xander said giving me a stern look.

"We need to leave soon!" I was antsy, I didn't have time for manors.

"We're just finishing up. I'll meet you too out side," I nodded my head shutting the door and went out side.

I was sitting on the porch bouncing my knees. I've been anticipating this visit for the passed few days. I missed my parents, I missed the feeling of something normal. I still wasn't over the fact that they lied to me, but I wasn't going to hold it against them. Knowing my parents they believed they were doing what was best for me. I still hadn't decided what to say if they asked about mine and Xander's relationship.

Xander walked passed me and straight to his car. I got up and followed. After climbing in and buckling up, Xander grabbed my face so I was looking at him. His eyes were swirling and I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't tell if he was angry or not which scared me.

"Don't you ever interrupt one of my meetings ever again, you understand?" His voice was rough and I then knew he was angry. I just nodded in response.

He let go of my face and started driving in the direction of the airport.

"You talked in your sleep last night," Xander said after a few moments of silence. I looked over at him and saw his knuckles where white from how tight he was gripping the steering wheel.

"what did I say?" I was scared to ask.

He punched the roof of his car causing me to jump. "I am your mate! You're suppose to be dreaming about me! I mean you where sleeping in my arms! But instead it's his name you're saying! I don't want you seeing him anymore! You are my mate!" 

"If I'm your mate then why are you still with Mandy?!" I yelled back.

He shook his head, "it's not the same thing,"

"And how is it not the same? You can be with Mandy but I can't be with Kyle? How is that fair?" I yelled.

"You don't understand," he kept shaking his head.

"Then tell me!"

"She's pregnant!" He shouted.

I froze. "Stop the car,"

"Eleanor-"

"Stop the car!"

He stopped the car and I got out stumbling into the woods the was next to the road. I heard Xander following me but I couldn't focus. My knees where shaking, I was nauseous and my heart hurt. It physically hurt.

"Eleanor, please,"

I ignored his plea and kept walking, feeling the tears fall down my cheeks.
It only took a few more seconds before my knees gave out and I fell. Not even bothering to get up I started sobbing. I was hurting in ways I didn't know possible.

Xander put his arms around me in an attempt to pick me up.

"Don't touch me!" I screamed.

I stood up and he stood in front of me. Without thinking I slapped him across the face as hard as I could.
With no time to react, Xander had me pinned to the ground. His eyes where silver and his body shaking.

"Calm down! You will except the fact that Mandy is pregnant and you will end things with Kyle!" it was his Alfa voice, and instantly my body relaxed along with my mind.

I lay still under him. For a few moments.

"Do you love me?" I asked. In this new numb like state I was in.

His eyes changed back to green and he looked at me puzzled. He didn't speak, just nodded yes.

"Do you love Mandy?" Again he nodded yes.

In this numb state that answer didn't bother me.

I propped myself up on my elbows, my nose touching his. "Who do you love more?" I whispered.

"You," Xander whispered back before kissing me. Even in my numb state I felt the sparks.

I pulled away. "We should go get my parents,"

We got up and walked back to the car.

"Can I borrow your phone?" I asked Xander. He nodded and handed it to me.

I found Kyle's number and sent him a text.

Kyle, it's Ellie. I don't think we should continue seeing each other. I need to focus on my new role as Luna and on my relationship with Xander. I hope you under stand.

I found Mandy's number.

Mandy, it's Ellie. Congratulations on the baby. Xander told me :)

Send.

We continued driving. Mandy was the first to text back.

Thanks?

No reply from Kyle.

We got to the airport and went to the baggage claim area to wait.

After a few minutes passengers started walking into the area. I caught sight of my parents and like that, my emotions where back on I got up and ran to them. I cried as I rapped my arms around my moms neck and then my dad.

I was taken aback when I saw Xander and my dad shack hands and then my mom hug him and give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Isn't my future son-in-law so handsome?" My mom said putting her arms around me.

I looked at Xander and was breathless when I saw him laugh.

"Not as gorgeous as my future mother-in-law," he said causing my mom to blush my dad to laugh and me go be shocked.

We grabbed their bags and went back to the car. My dad sat up front and my mom and I sat in the back.

Dad and Xander talked football while I laid with my head in my moms lap while she played with my blond locks.

I missed this. My dads loud laugh my mom's quiet humming. I was comfy and happy and content, but I couldn't ignore the screaming in the back of my mind.
