Salty dinner

POV Marinette:

I was crossing my fingers for this dinner to be peaceful. With dad, this could be hard.

We both went downstairs and we took a seat around the dining table, before I hear dad calling me from the kitchen

I joined him in the kitchen and I found four bowls of hot soup, and four plates of salad, but dad was sprinkling a lot of salt on a certain plate and bowl

Marinette: dad, what are you doing? This is a lot of salt.

Tom: this is for Adrien

I freaked out, I had known the drama will begin between dad and Adrien even if he is just a friend of mine

Marinette: but dad, no. he is just a friend

Tom: I hope so, I won't allow him to get my princess from me

Marinette: oh god, now get a new plate and bowl

Tom: no, now take them for him

I looked at the serious look on dad's face, handing me both plate and bowl and I just obeyed and give Adrien this salty meal

Dad brought the rest of meals. I was sitting next to Adrien and my parents across us

Tom: so, Adrien, hope you will like the meal. Marinette helped me to season the salad and check the soup's salt

Adrien: thank you Mr. Dupain for your hospitality

I was looking at Adrien from the side of my eye once he got the spoon and had the first bite. His face expression doesn't change but after the third bite, I was able to notice his forehead sweating

Sabine: everything ok Adrien?

Adrien: y-yeah, the meal is delicious

Dad's jaw dropped and myself I turned to look at him with wide eyes

Tom: isn't it salty, not tasty? You know Marinette isn't good in such things

Adrien: it's good don't worry, thank you Marinette for this meal

Dad was kinda feeling unhappy with the unexpected response of Adrien but mom saved me from dad

Sabine: so, Adrien, tell me more about you except that you are son of famous designers. What you love to do?

Adrien: sometimes I use to model for my parents when I'm free

Sabine: you practice any sport? What languages also you speak?

Adrien: yes, I practice fencing and I workout almost everyday morning. I speak chines, English and French

Sabine: oups

Marinette: mom, he is also so smart, he just resolved many problems in our project and we will be soon over

Tom: so, fencing it is right?

Adrien: yes Mr. Dupain

Tom: I was practicing fencing and I'm still really good in that

Adrien: I'm happy to hear about that. Mr. Dupain, Mrs. Dupain Cheng, thank you so much for this awesome dinner, I should go now, it's really late

Marinette: see you tomorrow?

Adrien: yes, and then you are coming my house?
