(A/N) (quickly <3 Just to clear up some things and to make them line up, everything that happened to the mercs in the comics, happens to the BLU team instead of the REDs! <3 continue on lovelies.)

(Y/N) had taken a small shower and gone to bed at the end of the night. All the men had stopped by to wish each other goodnight, and each one of them besides Scout, got this respective thank you cheek kiss.

Falling asleep was easy, as was getting up. It was 5:30, a good hour before Dell said Soldier was to come screaming in her room to wake her. The woman got up to change into the clothing Ms. Pauling had dropped off. They fit well, having spaces for her weapons and pda's. Leaving her weapons in the crate, she left the room towards the commons, Dell had shown her how the kitchen was connected to the commons so it was easier to transport dinners to the men.

The pale room was just as she had seen it the night before, except for 2 of the Mercenaries occupying it. There was Heavy, and there was Sniper. Heavy was reading a book and munching on a sandwich, while Sniper was making a pot of coffee while waiting for his bread to toast. The woman walked over and looked around the cupboards, seemingly searching for where everything was.

"Huh, oh, 'ere Sheila. The food is in the cupboards on the left. Right is dishes and middle is cleaning supplies. Drawers have silverware and what not." Sniper said, pouring himself a cup of coffee from the pot. (Y/N) leaned over and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, and then searched one of the cupboards. "Ya look great Sheila, Your uniform fits ya nicely."

"Aww, thanks hon'." She spoke softly with a smile, blush coating her face. Sitting next to the two men while she sipped from her coffee and ate her food. Slowly, some of the other men such as Soldier and Spy started to feed into the room.  Cigarette sitting between firm lips, partial suit on the man. The other man was sporting long sweatpants and a wife beater, chewing on a cigar. Soldier seemed eerily calm compared to the day before, slowly gnawing on a protein bar before sliding out of the common area once more.

"Here comes the storm...." She heard the Sniper beside her mumble. Not 5 seconds after, there was him shouting out through the corridors.

"0630 MAGGOTS. GET UP NOW." was what he repeated at a deafening tone through the hallways, surely waking anybody within a 5 mile radius up. And what followed were a bunch of shouts as the Soldier walked back into the common area. Everyone was surely up now. As the rest of the men fed slowly into the room, it was edging 7:00, and a loud voice came over the speakers.

"Mission begins at 0745! Medic will be replaced with a robot today. Medic, you must work on the Tracksman clone and Über implants." The woman's gravelly voice was unpleasant to hear through the intercom. Medic, fully dressed and ready for the day, smiled like a fiend after hearing the announcement, while Dell gave him a look and a quick talk.

"Don't do anything extra like baboon hearts or kidneys or whatever. Set her up in respawn, and send her data to the RED medic for cloning. Jus' hook the Über in after that and no funny business or I will be doing some not pretty things to your corpse. Understand?" He both had a strong sense of wanting to intimidate and instruct. Neither seemed to work.

"Come on Track! It is time for your upgrade!" Ludwig called out, looking a little too excited, as (Y/N) made her way over, the man had a very quick word with Dell and Mischa as the exited the room. The walk to the MedBay was quick, not much to note. "Alright dear, lay down on the table and we shall begin!" he said, holding a large tube shaped gun. there seemed to be a normal trigger on the bottom, but on the top was a lever.

Reluctantly, the woman got on the table and laid back, and the Medic put the weapon on a sort of stand. It held the trigger and pulled back the lever. A bright red fog flowed out of it, surrounding her body. It felt like a warm mist was seeping into her, slowly numbing everything on her person.

"Now dear, are you squeamish when watching yourself get cut open, disemboweled, and having bones seamlessly broken and then healed again? You will be numb the whole time, but still, I would like to know." (Y/N) thought for a moment, and nodded her head. "Ja, alright, I see. I will put you under so I don't have you go into shock during the process! but just know, you're going to see and feel a lot of that while working here, so just prepare yourself!"

—timeskip—

It was a long surgery process, It took until the end of the days mission, most of the men were in the hallway outside of the MedBay, sitting in chairs waiting for their ceasefire meds and medical attention. Once it was all finished, the RED's had her data and we're halfway done cloning her, and medic had finished attaching nanomachines into her blood that would allow her to respawn within range of the system and to be übered.

"How ya feelin' darlin'?" Engie said, standing from his chair in the hall, walking over to the girl. She smiled and observed him for a moment. Large shards of shrapnel and glass marked some of his arms and torn overalls. One of his goggle lenses was cracked, with emerald green eyes peeking through, and a bunch of burn marks littering his face.

"I could ask ya the same thing." She chuckled. "But I'm okay pop. Jus' a little sore, I'll be fine. But now you need to see Med boy over there before ya drop dead right here." She smiled, Giving him a soft hug to avoid hurting his already aching injuries. As the engineer walked his way into the MedBay, someone else approached.

"Hey! Sheila! How did the surgery go?" Just the man she wanted to see. Australian accent a little scratchy, she guessed it was due to the mission.

"It went well! Thanks for askin' Love. Were you awake for yours when Medic did it? He asked me If I wanted to be awake for it." (Y/N) inquired. The man chuckled as they walked down the hallway.

"I was up. All of us besides Demo and Scout were up. Quite odd lookin' at the things that run you eh? Scout asked to be put under so he didn't feel anything, and demo was forcibly put under to stop him from drinking. Demo woke up fine, but his stomach was found to be a distillery for alcohol, somehow. And scout woke up with a dove sewn into 'is chest." He laughed at the last one, muttering beneath his breath ' the little ankle-biter'. (Y/N) smiled and laughed along, a large coat of blush masking her cheeks.

"God, I am so glad I didn't wake up with one of 'em sweethearts in my chest cavity. Imagine wakin' up every morning to something tryna pop outa ya chest! All the feathers it would leave behind!"

"That's why I stood awake as ever! By the way, ya wanna come practice with me Sheila? I gotta get my game up if Im gonna have a competition with me, eh?" The tall Sniper said, leading her into his practice nest.

"Of course! It has been an awful long time since I've had some good target practice, plus, I can try those prototypes out!" She beamed, bringing her PDA and wrench over to a seat next to a window.

(Y/N) built up her first prototype, the tracking sentry. It went up easy, but it wasn't configured quite yet. "Eh, Snipes? Do you have your pager in here?" she asked peeking around for her own, to no avail.

"Yeah, here, careful with it Sheila, I got one that was a bit more brittle compared to the others." He said handing her the little device. She immediately got to work on it, opening the back panel and moving some of the wiring around, hooking it to the small gun she had propped up. Opening the programs and rosters needed "Holy dooley Sheila! This all goes into just this gun?" He asked. The smile that graced her face lit up the room as they discussed their weapons as they practiced.

"Maggots! 1630! Too the commons! Meal time!" was what they heard shored outside the nest door when talking. It was so quick, they both felt as if barely any time passed at all. Giggling, they both made their ways to the common area to get a good meal. Heavy was on dinner duty for the night and so they had some amazing bread and a wonderful hearty stew. All of the men laughed and talked about whatever came to mind, discussing old battles, machinery and bloodshed they had witnessed over the years. After it was all cleaned and put away, (Y/N) met with the Sniper one last time. With a kiss on the cheek as she was at her door.

"Thanks for today hon', I'll be lookin' forward to tomorrow, g'night love."
