Chapter 6: Party Crashers

So... for the past hour, me and the others were getting ready to go to the party with Andy, but we had to go to a store first because they didn't bring clothes with them, which is a bit awkward. We did that and we were on our way!

"So Justin," Leia started to speak, "how long have you and Andy been friends? Or is she a girlfriend?"

"Ohh no, we're not dating, we're just friends, actually best friends, she's been there for me and I've been there for her for years, she was even the first person I told about my powers. If it wasn't for her I'd probably be lost without her. I'm glad I have someone like her in my life" I explained.

"It's nice you got her after everything, do you have anyone else?" Ben asked.

"Well, I got my mom, but lately we've been ... distant," I said.

"Why distant? What happened?" Jamie asked.

"She found out I've been doing the Spider-Man thing for years and kept it from her. She was upset about it, not because I lied to her about it, but the fact I'm always putting myself in danger and she can't do anything about it. I get it, she's just worried about me but she's also got to learn I can take care of myself." I explained.

"Well, maybe you should talk to her about it, and see if she can understand from your perspective," Jamie suggested. "At least then she can at least understand, even if she doesn't agree."

Jamie had a good point, if I talk about this with her and not push her away maybe we won't be so distant with each other and tell each other everything. But I also can't blame her... things have been hard since Dad died.

It took us a while but we got the other new clothes and we were ready to go have fun! We got to ESU, and there were so many people there I didn't know where Andy was!

"Wow, this place is amazing! To think Andy goes here!" Ben yelled, it was loud but I was still able to hear him.

And speaking of which, Andy ran right to us and greeted us.

"Glad you guys made it! I'm going to be over by the music stereo and suggest some songs, you guys just have fun!" She said, and that's exactly what we did, but something else happened.

While I was dancing and jumping around I accidentally bumped into a girl behind me.

"Oh god, I'm sorry! Are you okay?" I asked her. She turned around and I never would've guessed it was her...

"Justin???" She said.

Holy shit... it's my ex, MJ! I pulled her inside the building so we can talk in private.

"MJ? What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Just partying and having fun, who are these guys?" She asked.

Leia and the other followed us inside, guess the spider-sense didn't alert me.

"This is Ben, Jamie, and Leia, they're... friends of mine. Guys, this is MJ, she's my ex" I explained.

"And by friends, you mean colleagues of yours? Let me guess, you met them through The Avengers or something?" She started to ask. "Or wait, did you happen to save them from a burning building or something?"

"Wait a minute, does she know about... you know...?" Ben asked.

"Yes, she knows I told her a while ago," I explained.

"He didn't tell me, I figured it out. He's really bad at keeping secrets." She said.

"So wait, you two dated? What happened why did you guys break up?" Leia asked.
