The fuck she thinks she is?

Thorfinn spat on the ground, following the rest of his group who were desperately trying to outrun Thorkell's grasp.

Thorfinn tried to get a good look at the female to send a nice anonymous glare, but looking upon the Prince's carriage, she was nowhere in sight.

Trying to hold back his disappointment, Thorfinn looked to the side, his heart almost stopping at who he came face to face with, or rather face to a helmet.

"The fuck—!"

"No need to scream," Y/n rolled her eyes, slapping a hand over Thorfinn's mouth, which was quickly shoved off.

"What do you want," Thorfinn avoided eye contact, looking to the back of one of the Vikings in front of the two instead.

"Oh, I got bored," Y/n shrugged stretching her arms and legs, it was getting tiring sitting next to the Prince who had ignored her for several hours since the interaction she had with Thorfinn, "In addition...to my apology."

"Huh?" He turned to face her, raising a brow in curiosity. Y/n didn't seem like the type to say sorry so easily.

"You know...for harassing you and such. There's nothing wrong with being short and shit, so I...apologize."

"Oh, yeah, whatever," Thorfinn scoffed, looking away again to hide the small smirk that formed on his face, unwillingly happy with her words.

"I'll leave you alone now," Y/n sighed, walking slower so the Vikings walked past her, giving her the appearance of being consumed by the crowd.

As much as he hated it, Thorfinn wanted to talk longer.

In the brief moments and interactions they had, Thorfinn could feel a sense of comfortability with her. He relaxed around Y/n, something he hadn't done since the death of his father.

Being around these Vikings made him cold, and unfamiliar to his past childish self.

Spending a decade with barbaric men made him lose himself, and maybe that's why she set him at ease, to balance all this chaos out.

"What the fuck am I thinking," Thorfinn cursed to himself, slapping his cheek to knock him back into reality.

Pushing his feelings aside, Thorfinn continued to march on, focusing on what his true goal was.
