Fault

(A/N: I have to say... I realized that my old files were gone when I was rummaging through my GDC fanfics folder. This, and the Sk8 one were gone! TTATT they were after my usb got destroyed last year. I only recalled this today. So, the plot for this fanfic... I also have forgotten. I am really sorry! I will try to be as consistent as I could!) 

"Cucumber bro... are you still not okay?" Shang Qinghua asked and grimaced while he fidgeted as he sat on his seat. "Please... please spare me if you are actually fighting with Bing-mei, okay?" he asked, wanting to cry but there are no tears that came out. He could feel Luo Binghe's sharp glares on his back as if he is stabbing him. But, he can't also just leave Shen Qingqiu alone. After all, they are the only ones who are 'relatives' in this world. (he is referring to both of them coming from another world)

Yesterday, they were all given a fright when Shen Qingqiu suddenly had a black out. Even if it was just for a short time, but it was really scary. Shang Qinghua thought that Shen Qingqiu was dead. But, when Shen Qingqiu finally came to, Shang Qinghua thought that what happened to Shen Qingqiu was like a temporary disconnection. It was like when the gamers were disconnected from the game due to poor internet connection. But, to Shen Qingqiu, he was disconnected from the world.

So, Shang Qingqua returned today and asked Shen Qingqiu about this. He asked him if there was something wrong with the system and it disconnected him from this world. Which is really scary, and the result would also be scary because of Luo Binghe. Just look at Luo Binghe's reaction yesterday. It was really terrifying! He wanted to speak with Shen Qingqiu yesterday, but after what happened to the other, Luo Binghe waved them away. Thus, Shang Qingqhua has no choice but to hold his question until today.

"I recalled Mo Beijun's words yesterday and so I asked him about it when we returned to his palace." Shang Qinghua spoke. His expression is serious, which is rare.

Shen Qingqiu looked at him.

"Mo Beijun said that there was something wrong with your soul, but he doesn't know what specifically it is." Shang Qinghua said. "So, I asked you whether it was the system and if there was a bug, but you said that it is not." He looked at Shen Qingqiu. "Then, I recalled that there was something wrong between you and Bing-mei. Thus, I assumed that it should be related to this." He told him.

Shen Qingqiu didn't speak, which confirmed Shang Qinghua's guess.

"What's wrong now?" Shang Qinghua sighed when he saw Shen Qingqiu is silent. "Did Bing-mei do something wrong again?" he asked and glanced outside the window where he can see that Luo Binghe is cooking food for Shen Qingqiu.

"No." Shen Qingqiu answered.

"Then – " Shang Qinghua muttered as he tried to guess.

Shen Qingqiu cut him off. "It's me." He answered.

Shang Qinghua looked at him.

"I am having nightmares lately." Shen Qingqiu spoke, then shook his head. "No... I think that I have been having them before... but I just had too many things in my mind that I have forgotten them." He said.

"And these nightmares are?" Shang Qinghua asked.

Shen Qingqiu didn't speak, but Shang Qinghua guessed it.

"The things that the original Sheng Qingqiu has done to Luo Binghe?" Shang Qinghua spoke. You can see how serious he is since he doesn't address Luo Binghe as 'Bing-mei'.

Shen Qingqiu lowered his head. "I also have done it to him." He muttered.

Shang Qinghua frowned. "But that is because of the system forcing you to do the plot – " he said.

Shen Qingqiu closed his eyes. "But I still did." He answered. "In order for my survival." He said.

Shang Qinghua's brows knitted. "Shen Yuan." He called.

Shen Qingqiu froze. He has never heard this name of his since his last life.

"If there is someone to blame for Luo Binghe's sufferings, then it is I – the author of the book." Shang Qinghua spoke.

"But, you didn't know that they would be real people." Shen Qingqiu said. "If it is so, then all the authors in the world would become murderers." He told Shang Qinghua.

Shang Qinghua clenched his fists. He feels uncomfortable with how Shen Qingqiu is behaving. Shen Qingqiu has never been a pessimist person! "So, whose fault do you think this is? The villains?" he asked as he gnashed his teeth in anger. "But, even themselves are not aware of their role in the story. They are like any other person." He told Shen Qingqiu. "Everyone is the protagonist of their own lives. So, you don't have to blame yourself for Luo Binghe's sufferings just because you have landed a villain character in his life." He sighed.

Shen Qingqiu didn't speak and just remained silent.

Shang Qinghua pursed his lips seeing him like this. Obviously, Shen Qingqiu was not convinced of what he said. He is not listening to him! He has to tell Mo Beijun to hurry up and find what is wrong with Shen Qingqiu! 

(A/N: poor SQQ... at least he has SQH bro! SQH is surprisingly reliable lol)
