Where the moonlight rose above the sky, Eve snuggled into a certain silky pillow. As her deep slumber slowly faded and she remembered the bankruptcy that Ryleigh had suffered, she was aware that she was in an unknown comfy bed.

Slowly collecting her memories, Eve rationally scanned the room where she woke up. The room is filled with exquisite antique golden furniture and a beautiful flower arrangement, creating a Lavender scent. Some of her luggage and boxes are untouched in the corner of the room.

Wild guess by Eve, this is the guest room of Edmund's mansion. Her uniform had changed into a draped silky nightdress. Believing Edmund's innocence, she could solve the puzzle that the Maid had changed her outfits.

Moreover, spotting a slipper prepared next to her bed, Eve exited the room to get some fresh air. Unfortunately for her, as soon as she went out, she realized the place resembled a labyrinth. Afraid she would get lost in this big place, Eve returned to the room and opened the window instead. It was a chilly night. Eve was speechless.

What time is it right now?

Finally, Eve searched for her phone, which was placed neatly on top of the table. On the phone screen, 3 A.M. Sighed heavily that she missed dinner. She thought she should play with her phone until breakfast was ready. Turning on her mobile data, soon enough, her phone notifications were spamming her, all the 50 missed calls and messages from Evan were shown, and the contents were: 'Are you okay?', 'Is there anything wrong?', 'Are you being bullied?', 'Where can I find you?', 'Inform me if you see this message immediately, Okay?', etc. From all of those messages, one of them caught Eve's eye, which was the last message that he sent her. From the time frame, it was the following time after Eve and Edmund left the residence.

The last message was :

'...I love you.'

Instantly, Eve's heart stopped.

Did I do the wrong thing by leaving him all alone? But this is the playboy prince we are talking about. He would think of me as his property, not his lover. It would need more than words to prove it. Eve shook her head, completely not believing what he had said. Regardless, he might only do it for his ego. He is a man, after all.

Who would like for his friend to be stolen under his nose?

It is impossible for a playboy like him to love one person. I would believe it if it was Edmund. But, him? No way! It is impossible. Frustrated, Eve turned off her phone, losing her interest in scrolling. Instead, she wasted time studying using her laptop until the sun rose and a maid knocked on the door.

"Come on in." The Maid was stunned when she entered the room.

A memory swept into her mind vividly about yesterday's night; the lady she is ordered to serve was brought by her Master into his arms and gave an uproar to Kingsley's manor.

Under the clear view and decent lightning of the sunlight, the Lady was seemingly gracious and soft-countenance. Her hair was messy, yet golden shining, just like an angel. A polite smile painted on the Maid's lips, "Good morning, Miss Eve. Master Edmund told me to wake you up and invite you if you want to have breakfast with him in the backyard."

At Edmund's sweet invitation, Eve's lips curved upwards. It sounds exciting rather than eating at the dining table, "Noted. Let me get ready first." A concern had formed inside Eve's mind, "Uh, and may I ask if Ed's parents would be joining us?" The Maid was getting inside the bathroom and prepared the warm water for Eve to take, "No, Miss. Master Edmund's parent had their arrangement yesterday evening and will be on a business trip until before Master Edmund's birthday party." As the water filled up the bathtub, the Maid continued, "Also, the bathtub is ready if the Lady wants to. Are there other things that I can do for you?"
