Harper's pov:

I woke up with the sound of a baby crying. The pain in my heart was unbearable, as the wails seemed to echo through my very soul. I looked around, terrified, as the sound seemed all too familiar. It was as if I had experienced this before, a feeling of helplessness and despair that seemed to claw at my insides.

I followed the sound of the baby's cries, and they led me to a basement where King was being punished. The man was ruthless, his fists flying through the air, striking King with each blow. The baby's cries grew louder, more desperate, as if pleading for mercy.

No, no, no, I mumbled in my head. I couldn't let this continue. I ran towards them, fear coursing through my veins. I reached out to grab the man, but he was stronger than I could have imagined. He pushed me away, sending me crashing to the cold, unforgiving floor.

Sweating and panting heavily, I woke up abruptly from what felt like a terrifying nightmare. My heart was racing, and I struggled to catch my breath. It took me a moment to realise that it was just a figment of my imagination, but the fear lingered. I knew I had to take action to protect King and Henry, and the first step was to seek the support of my family. I needed their protection.

With a heavy sigh, I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 5:30 in the morning. The lack of sleep was evident in the bags under my eyes and the redness that had crept into them. As I peered into the mirror, I realized that I had forgotten to remove my contacts before bed. "Damn it," I muttered under my breath as I carefully removed them and examined my tired reflection. "I have the ugliest eyes ever," I thought to myself as I rinsed my face.

Deciding that it might be best to forgo wearing contacts altogether, I undressed and stepped into the shower. The warm water cascaded over me, but instead of bringing comfort, it only seemed to exacerbate my irritation. After hastily washing my skin, I emerged from the shower and wrapped myself in a towel.

I decided to wear something cute today as I embarked on a journey to find a serene place to unwind.

It was currently 6:50 in the morning, and I thought it would be the perfect time to visit the library. Although I wasn't sure where the library was located, my intuition guided me, and within a minute, I found it. The library's exterior was inviting, and as I stepped inside, I was captivated by its well-designed and furnished interior.

Despite the darkness enveloping the library, I eagerly searched for a book that piqued my interest. However, the dim lighting made it challenging to find the perfect read. As I was about to leave, my eyes caught sight of a beautiful violin resting against a wall. Instantly, I was reminded of my passion for playing the violin, an activity that always brought me peace and tranquillity.

Without hesitation, I picked up the violin and carried it to my room. Once there, I sat down in a comfortable chair beside my window and began to play. The melodious tunes filled the room, and as I played, I lost myself in the music. The violin's enchanting notes transported me to a world where all my stress and worries dissipated.
