Chapter 2: Arriving

SUGARS POV:
"It's a new start for you" said the Jasper as we stood on the warp pad in front of the twilight reef.

I didn't expect the Jasper to speak with me at all, after all the Jasper was quiet the entire trip.

"This reef isn't like ours, it's different and it's bright" said the Jasper with a smile.

"Really" I responded.

"Ye so be yourself here, they won't judge you" said the Jasper patting my head.
"I always noticed how sad you looked, and I wanted to let you know, I saw you and I think you deserve to be happy" said the Jasper.

I was stunned and shocked, this Jasper has guarded for doves reef, since forever!

He's being so kind and he's actually giving me a real farewell.

"Thank you" I said blushing from happiness, "It's really means a lot" I added as tears started to fall from my eyes.

"Don't cry" he smiled, "It's a fresh start" he said taking my hand and leading me to the door.

"Wipe your tears, go have fun" he said smiling softly.

I wiped my tears and replied "Right! I will!"

We finally were up to the door.
"State your purpose" said an ocean Jasper.

This Jasper is corrupted I thought.
"Transfer pearl from pure doves reef" replied Jasper, "I leave her to you" he said patting my head and then walking away.

"Files and paperwork please" said a skinny Amethyst.

The amethyst was defect!?
Amethyst are Buffed up and intimidating, but this one was skinny.
I was too shocked to even speak.

I thought to myself as I gave them the papers, this is a new start for me, I get a second chance.

I got excited and jumped up, I made loud and childlike squeel noise.
The guards looked at me, their jaws dropped,
"... Cute" said the ocean jasper, "You... can go inside" added the skinny Amethyst.

"Mk" i said skipping inside, I stopped at the door way when I got inside.

A holo pearl was standing in near the second door, which was where they kept pearls on the podiums.

The holo pearl walked up to me and spoke,
"You must be the transfer pearl" she said taking out her pad.

"Y-Yes I am" I got a bit nervous speaking to the holo pearl.

" I am holo pearl 45" The holo pearl smiled at me, I was shocked holo pearls are usually non-chalant.

"What is your name dear?" the holo pearl asked.

"My name is Sugar" I replied smiling back.

"Alright sugar, I'll take you to the your new nacres" she began walking away and I trailed behind her skipping and smiling.

When we got inside I was greeted by the nacre. One was pink and one was A Turquoise color. "I'm mother Bright" said the Turquoise one, she was smiling and looked very happy her name really suits her...

"I'm father darkness" said the pink one, I was surprised he's pink and his name doesn't match what he looks like, but it did match his personal.

"Welcome to our reef my newest lovely" said Mother bright bending down patting my head.

"It's good to be here!" I replied with a big smile.

"Oh my, she's just adorable!!!" Yelled mother bright, excitedly clapping her hands.

"Would you calm down, and stop your foolishness" replied father darkness, hold her hands together to stop her from clapping.

"Stop being such a party pooper" exclaimed mother bright pulling her hands back from his.

Mother bright brought her hand out, Down to where I was and opened her palm.

I backed away because of my experience of being held by a bigger gem.

"Don't be afraid my lovely, I want to show you our reef" she said with  a kind and sincere smile.

I walked onto her hand and sat down, she lifted her hand up, and began to walk down the hallway of her reef.

They had a good amount of pearls here, one of each kind and that's a lot!
I saw defect pearls like me, a lavender, bronze, green and a crimson pearl they all had a height defect like me.
Except I have an actual defect and not just a height defect.

They showed me where they train the pearls, where pearls and spinels go when the reef closes.

It was bigger than our reef, we only had a training room, backroom for defect tests and the podium area.

This was big Reef, and there were a lot of things for the pearls to do, they don't just stand around waiting to be bought they have something called "free time", the nacre said its when you do what you wanna do before you have to work.

It sounds fun, and I really wanna try it, but... while I was taking the tour I felt like someone was watching me, I felt a pair of eyes on me while I was walking through the podium room.

I finally turned around to see who was looking at me, it was a.... black spinel.
The black spinel was wearing a beret and the spinel looked gloomy.

The black spinel and me made eye contact, for some reason my face got hot as I stared in her dark black eyes.
She turned away not looking at me, leaving me confused but then I felt a tap on my back.
