In the basement of the large house, there they were; Novus, Leighla, Nerlu and Illy. They were sitting around the table full of books, documents and drawings. They were hard at work, trying to figure everything out. "I still think we need to take her to the queen. She's the oldest Fae, maybe she can help." Leighla spoke up. She was so convinced that it was possible which made the others consider it. If they couldn't figure this out on their own, they would have to go down that route. The danger was high in that scenario, but none of them were around for the original war between Fae and witches. "You know my father will insist we move her to Tír na nÓg, right? We will follow your lead but make sure it's the right decision." The blonde spoke again. He was their leader, their friend and their brother. If he wanted to remain in the human world, they wouldn't push him.
Novus was deep in thought as he listened to Leighla. He couldn't deny that it would be safer to get her out of the reach of the witches, even if it meant risking danger from other Fae. "If these books don't give us anything new, we will go home. As for an audience with Titania, that may prove difficult considering she hasn't been seen since her child went missing." He responded, still having the look of deep contemplation on his features. It was a respectable compromise and they all voiced their agreement. They were all glad that he was always open to their ideas and opinions, it made life so much easier. Illy was checking over her notes, trying to identify the signature in the magic behind the spell. It was an attempt to trace it back to one of the Circle of the Trinity members. If they could get to one, they had a good chance of finding the rest of them. Nerlu sat there observing them with his arms folded. Unlike his brother, he didn't like to wear shirts with short sleeves and so, his muscular arms were covered in a dark grey fabric. Without a solid, tangible threat or wounds to focus on, he was really just there for support. He wasn't good at research, which is why he had seemed so vexed to be sent to the dark archives, but it turned out that Leighla had needed help carrying all these books anyway so it worked out.
"You seem to be faring better than I had expected. I was told you were bed ridden." Mr. Seiteanna spoke to Dre, still standing in the tower of the greenhouse. The redhead nodded with a puzzled expression. She kept trying to pinpoint why she got sudden bursts of strength and energy. "I think it's just that I got some good rest and good food." She responded, not wanting to dwell on it for too much longer. Understanding that she didn't want to think about it too much, he didn't press any further for now. They would figure it out sooner or later. "How about we head to the living room and talk by the warm fireplace?" The elder Fae questioned, offering his arm to guide her back down the metal staircase. By the cooing that Dwight was doing, still sitting on Dre's head, they both sensed that he knew more than they did. Dre wasn't sure what his abilities were beyond changing into a cute little dragon after all.
Taking the supportive arm offered by Mr. Seiteanna, she smiled gratefully and nodded. "That sounds wonderful. I don't know how much longer this energy will stick around." Her response came. It was the truth, she never knew when her energy would drain. It was a little funny though, when all this began, the mark on her back had been burning. Now it was just a little itchy. Together with Leighla's father and Dwight, she slowly made her way down the steps. Out of the greenhouse and through the halls. They came to the living room door and Dre was encouraged to enter the room first. He was being a gentleman, but he was also convinced that he was in the company of royalty. They both sat down in comfortable armchairs next to a fireplace which, to Hydrangea's surprise, was already roaring with a soft glow and a wash of warmth.
Novus felt the need to stretch his legs, they weren't going to get anywhere with him getting more and more frustrated with books that proved themselves unable to help them. "I'm going to check on Dre." He told them, swiftly standing up and leaving the room without waiting for a response. The others watched after him before they chuckled gently and got back to their respective tasks. "I wouldn't be surprised if she turned out to be another wolf." Nerlu commented with an unusually devious grin. His brother couldn't stand being away from the girl. It was the first time he had shown so much interest in anyone.Nerlu had begun to worry that his brother would always be the lonely wolf. "Well considering the witches keep referring to her as 'the rose' I highly doubt that one but time will tell." Illy responded, only half paying attention as she continued to trace the magic signature in the blood cells affected by the spell. She did have a point which made them all curious.
