"I hear that they plan to have a meeting with the queen. I've no idea why." The voice was hushed in an attempt to have private gossip. Little did these wood nymphs know that Dwight was pottering around, tending to his personal corner of the garden. "I hear it's something to do with the redhead that arrived today. Did you see the way he looked at her?" Another whispered in return. They were like a couple of highschool girls. It was kind of silly. "I mean, I can't blame him. I would love to gaze at her beauty all day too." The first nymph giggled, causing her sister to laugh too. Dwight relaxed as they laughed. He had feared that they were about to say something mean, but he had thankfully misjudged the nymphs. A smile graced his young features as he continued to tend to the plants, unseen and unheard by the wood nymphs perching in the high branches of the darkland oak trees just behind the garden. He had to duck a few times as excitable pixies whizzed around. The entirety of the darklands was buzzing with nerves and excitement. It wasn't certain how long this excitement had started, or at least, Dwight couldn't be certain about it. He was sure that anyone who had not left to be in the human world would have an answer. It wasn't like he could just ask someone either. It was frustrating to have to find other ways to communicate, but it wasn't like he had much of a choice.

"We will need an offering for the court or the meeting just will not happen." Doyle's voice sounded inside the study. He was the oldest of them and so he would know best on this subject. It wasn't like the others had ever summoned a meeting with the court of balance before. "Wait. You said that you would explain once we got here. Why do we need to set up this meeting? Why do we need to talk to Titania? Isn't she the Queen?" Dre questioned, trying to understand. They mentioned something about a lost royal child loosely when talking about Illy's mother. As though internally kicking himself for forgetting, Novus winced slightly and nodded. "Right, I'm sorry Dre, we're getting ahead of ourselves." He replied honestly. "If we are correct, you are the lost royal child that was taken at birth from the Queen. The servants were so convinced that the child was in danger, they took the child away and hid them. My father died because he refused to tell the royals where the child was hidden." He continued and Dre slowly sat down as she processed this information. She wasn't sure why they thought she was this child, but they seemed so certain. "What makes you think that child is me?" She questioned in a thoughtful tone. She wanted to understand, wanted to know it all.

"Your eyes and your power level. When your true eyes show, they are purple and gold, those colours could only combine if you're part of the two royal lines, Titania's line and Oberon's line. Your power level is the highest we have ever seen and you're still dormant!" Leighla piped up in response, her nerves and excitement drenching her voice. She was excited to finally tell Dre what they were thinking without fear of a freak out. "Ok, what makes you certain this Court will even take you seriously? What weight do you hold?" Hydrangea followed up with a genuine question. She looked at each of them to see they were all looking at Novus."Quite a bit of weight Dre, I'm the leader of the dark Fae. I wanted you to hear it from me but I didn't want to freak you out." Novus spoke in explanation. Dre had to admit that she was taken back a little, but she had kind of guessed it with how everyone in the group looked to him before they did something. "I see, that makes perfect sense actually. I guess it's also why that creepy white knight guy didn't try and hurt you, the balance and all that jazz." Dre spoke with a deep clarity that shouldn't have shocked anyone at this point. Novus sat beside Dre, taking her hand in his cautiously. She didn't seem angry, but he wanted to be sure. He received a gentle smile and she gently squeezed his hand. How could she be mad at him?

"Ok then, what can we give as an offering?" Hydrangea questioned, changing the subject. This was for her benefit, it was only natural that she felt responsible. "It varies really. It could be the name of someone who caused you pain, it could be your first born child. We must stay on our toes, we cannot have them trick us into giving away something too precious." The older Fae replied in a gentle tone. He didn't want to scare her, but they all had to understand the risks. Dre just needed to state that she was able to understand. She had heard stories of the Fae making deals like that with humans, so she wasn't surprised in the least. The fae didn't take much stock in material worth, so it would have to be something of equal emotional significance. She stood up again, pacing a little at the thought only to have her pacing stopped by Novus who wrapped his arms around her waist from behind again. She was daunted by the prospect of potentially giving away a child she wasn't even sure would happen, but if that was the only way, so be it. "It's highly unlikely that the Court of Balance will demand children, I just needed you to be aware of the possibility." Doyle added in and Dre nodded slightly.
