"I don't care how hard they are fighting! We were entrusted to protect her from the Fae!" A loud female voice spat in anger. The witches had failed to retrieve Hydrangea and now debates were flaring up. "Rinda! You will remember your place. The circle of the Trinity has only been allowed to remain as long as nature felt the rose needed to be guarded. If the Triquetra of Rowan is losing its hold, nature has deemed it unnecessary." This voice was from a man older in age and Rinda bowed her head, anger still seething below her courtesy. "We were tasked by the previous Dark Prince to protect the child until the time was right for her to take her rightful place. It is our duty now to aid them, not hinder them." The male spoke once more, causing Rinda's anger to wane and a heavy sigh to pass her lips. He was right, but of course he was, he was the wisest of the Circle. "So we are going against the royal family? It was they who sent the order to retrieve the rose by any means necessary." Rinda questioned. She was afraid, she had sisters and brothers who were fiercely loyal to the royal family. All the prophecies were right. The emergence of rose would incite civil war. "Very well, if this child can restore the balance, it's our duty to aid her."
In the shadows of the meeting hall, a hooded figure was listening in with severe intent. Not long after the arguments and debates died down, this concealed figure slipped away unnoticed. To go unnoticed by some of the most powerful witches was no easy feat. They were being monitored, but by who or what? The meeting then turned to other matters, young witches needing better teaching and better living situations. Elderly witches needing better retirement protection. It was all basic council things by that point. It would explain why the one observing them held no more interest in their meeting. All had gone calm on their side, other than the hospital wing, filled with witches who had been struck by Doyle's lightning. They were truly lucky that it had not been his intent to kill with his strikes. He had simply meant to maim and deter. It was a little sad that the deterrent had failed, but the witches were as stubborn and dedicated as the Fae when given a task.
Meanwhile, in the lands of the light Fae, a male was pacing back and forth in an office. Sitting behind the desk was The White Knight, both eyes covered with bandages. He was still trying to heal from Hydrangea's counter attack, but he wasn't angry about it anymore. He was actually impressed with how brutal she had been, how efficient. Although he was still under the assumption that she was just a human, he believed that she belonged in the Fae world. "You promised me that you would bring her to me. We made a deal and you need to honour it!" The pacing man yelled, seething with a psychotic rage burning behind his almost black eyes. Sitting on a loveseat, off to the side, the siren from the wild hunt rolled her eyes. "Speak to his radiance like that again and I will feed you to the bogarts." She hissed, making the male's face contort with disgust. It was clear to all others present that he didn't want her addressing him at all. "Shut your vixen hole!" He snapped in retort. The White Knight tilted his head as he listened to that retort. The light Fae may be known for their cruelty, but they were fiercely loyal to their friends and family. "Speak to Ceol in that manner again and I will have your skin flayed, slowly, whilst you live."
The White Knight had no qualms with harming this one, he was a psychotic, self entitled idiot. Why he had agreed to make any kind of deal with the guy, he could not fathom. It could have something to do with him being useful at giving him important information about the white stag. All in all, the information was outdated. He was told that she was quiet and weak. By the lack of sight, he knew this to be incorrect. Clearly she had grown stronger through her trauma unlike most domestic abuse survivors. The blinded Fae was annoyed, but he was also impressed. Even his precious siren didn't stand up to him. Then again, very few Fae, light or dark, stood against him. It seems that the dark Fae had captured the girl's heart before he could get to Hydrangea, this was frustrating but that blonde with the sapphire eyes seemed to have known her for a while.
