"Suisei, have you gotten a text from dad yet?" I asked as we cleaned the dishes together.
"Not since two days ago when he said that his trip got extended a couple of days." He had finished washing the dish, dried it, and put it away.
"I'll try to call him tonight to see if he knows when he'll be back." I also finished washing my dish and put it away after drying it.
"Ok." Then he left.

Out of the two of us I was always treated better than Suisei. I know it gets to him at times, and I wish dad wouldn't do it. It even got worse when dad started leaving for business tripes more often and longer than before.

After I washed the remaining dishes I went to the family room and sat next to Dosei who was watching a kdrama about war, love and loss.

"What is this one called?" I ask.
"Battle bound dove." Dosei said then put his arm around my shoulders.
I settled down next to him and we watched the series together for a while.
It had gotten dark and it was time to sleep. Before going to bed I stopped in the kitchen for some water. When I opened the fridge there was a container filled with peanut butter blossoms that Suisei had made early.
"That traitor didn't even call me when they were done." I said in disbelief
"Or maybe someone was simply asleep, and couldn't hear him call." Dosei said.
"He'll get off the hook today." I grabbed a bottle of water then we went back to my room to sleep.
