The place was incredibly crowded and noisy, with people inside feeling chaotic. Every news reporter, journalist, and media outlet was there to hear from Kim Taehyung.
After receiving the news of the press conference, everyone was hyped and eager for what was to come.
The noise didn't subside when Taehyung entered the stage; it only grew louder, with questions being thrown at him even before he started. Blinding camera flashes hurt his eyes, so he had Jungkook wear sunglasses to block them.
Taehyung shushed the crowd by holding the microphone and glaring at them. It seemed this wouldn't be a lively conference.
“Alright, everyone. I did not call you all here for fun or to answer your unnecessary questions. I want everyone to shut up while I’m speaking, and I’ll be straightforward.”
The crowd groaned but complied.
“This event is to address the issue that one of you here created. May I call Mr. Kang up from the Seoul News Center?”
Murmurs filled the room as the man stood up and faced the cameras.
“How brave of you to come here. Do you think you’ll get a raise for butting into my life? Enjoy that raise because it will be the last one. You have no right to spy on my life like I’m a celebrity. No one deserves to have their privacy invaded. If you don’t follow them around, what’s the purpose of your job? Will you even exist without making a mockery out of people?” The emphasis on the word "you" sent chills through the crowd; they could feel Taehyung's intense anger.
“After this event, you’ll find yourself as the talk of the town. Enjoy it while it lasts. Now get out of my sight.”
“Oohs” of surprise and some curse words filled the room.
“Next, the person with me yesterday was pregnant. He was male—a fertile male. Are you surprised? You shouldn’t be; he’s not the only one alive. Unfortunately, they’re being hidden away, trapped in underground facilities. Do you know what happens there? They’re treated like animals, forced to breed and then sold off or slaughtered. As a lawyer, I’m taking this case. If anyone has leads, feel free to approach my law firm. Further questions regarding my client are prohibited.”
This revelation sent shockwaves through the media, knowing that it would spark a major story: Kim Taehyung versus the Government and politicians.
“Also, if any government officials or politicians leave the country, it will only make you appear suspicious and implicated in the illegal breeding of fertile men. If you don’t want to be suspected, you’d best stay home for something extravagant coming soon.”
“Lastly, if I see any news concerning my client that is false or damaging, you’re jeopardizing not just his reputation, but mine as well. I won’t allow anyone to speak ill of my fiancé! Because if anything happens to him...”
He glared straight into the camera before finishing, “I will declare war.” He smirked and walked off the stage, ignoring the multitude of questions from the reporters. They could see backstage the Kim family present, along with the mysterious man now known as Taehyung's fiancé.
Once they were safely in the car and headed to Taehyung's house with all the bodyguards, they felt a wave of relief.
A lunch was already prepared when they arrived, providing an opportunity to celebrate the couple’s engagement.
Though everyone was worried about Taehyung and Jungkook regarding the case about fertile men, they were determined to support Taehyung.
His friends Hoseok and Yoongi were also there, bringing gifts for Jungkook, which caused some groans from others who hadn’t known to do the same. Looking at the love shared between Taehyung and Jungkook, one could argue they appeared already married in spirit—only a piece of paper was missing, but they were just happy together.
Everyone enjoyed the meal before dessert was served, and the couple prepared a surprise cake for all of them.
The cake was so beautiful that no one wanted to cut into it. Jungkook had baked it the night before, with Taehyung helping by hugging him from behind. Inside the cake, a surprise awaited them: loud cheers erupted as they read a note Jimin had wrapped in plastic.
“We are having TWINS!!” Namjoon was so excited that he demonstrated his dance moves. Mama Kim cried tears of joy, while Dada Kim beamed proudly at the couple. Jin was too busy enjoying the delicious cake to contain his happiness.
Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged smiles, leaning into each other. Taehyung kissed Jungkook’s forehead, murmuring “I like you” and “thank you” repeatedly, while Jungkook giggled and responded with kisses on Taehyung's cheek.
