“Let go of me first; I'm gonna pee,” Jungkook told his partner, who was laying on his plush thighs as they watched a movie amidst the rain.

“What do you mean ‘pee’? You just went like five minutes ago! I can't even enjoy peace lying on your lovely thighs! How cruel can this world be?!” Taehyung cried dramatically as Jungkook waddled away to the bathroom on the ground floor. The weather seemed to match Taehyung’s mood, as thunder suddenly roared outside. It shook the walls of their home, and the lights flickered momentarily.

Worry crept in, especially since Jungkook was 37 weeks pregnant, with a tummy so big that Taehyung couldn’t help but marvel at how chubby their little baby was becoming. Taehyung felt an overwhelming love for the younger man, who was carrying two lives inside him.

As Taehyung walked toward the bathroom, he suddenly noticed the door was ajar and saw his husband squatting inside. One hand rested on his waist while the other pressed against the wall for support.

Immediately, Taehyung frowned at the sight of his husband in this compromising position with a puddle forming beneath him, soft whimpers escaping his lips.

“Baby?... Are you okay? Did you pee on the floor? It's okay; I’ll clean it up for you. Let me help you, hmm?” Taehyung carefully held Jungkook, who was mumbling something that sounded like "water."

“What is it, honey? Are you okay? You want some water?” Taehyung inquired, but Jungkook shook his head.

“M-my water broke!... IT HURTS!!!” he screamed, and Taehyung felt his heart drop. For a moment, it felt as if his soul had left his body, but it quickly returned when Jungkook called for him. In an instant, he sprang into action, scooping Jungkook up and shouting for the maid to prepare the items they needed, as well as a driver to take them to the hospital.

Jungkook was panting as they had practiced, while Taehyung did his best to soothe him. The rain poured heavily outside, forcing them to drive carefully, and the sound of thunder wasn’t very comforting either. The roads leading to the hospital were slightly flooded, forcing their car to slow down.

They both hoped for a safe journey and for Jungkook's pain to alleviate.

Once they arrived at the birthing center, Taehyung was relieved to see it wasn’t crowded. They were quickly escorted to a room where Jungkook could change into a hospital gown and where questions about his condition could be answered.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Jungkook’s due date yet; he was scheduled to give birth at 38 weeks, but due to the twins he was carrying, doctors advised an early C-section. There was no choice in the matter, and they agreed, preparing for the best outcome. Before changing into his own scrubs to accompany Jungkook, Taehyung called their family and friends to inform them of the situation. Everyone responded with excitement, wishing them well as they hurried to the hospital despite the weather.

Inside the operating room, anesthesia was administered to Jungkook as they waited for it to take effect. A green cloth was draped around Jungkook’s chest, preventing them from seeing the procedure. Jungkook remained awake but felt nothing below his waist, while Taehyung was even more nervous. His hands were clammy as he kissed Jungkook’s forehead frequently.

He could hear the doctors performing the surgery—tools clanging, commands being relayed to one another. The only instrument they recognized was the scalpel, thanks to their shared experience of watching K-dramas together.

It took longer than either of them anticipated to open Jungkook’s tummy, particularly since he was delivering twins.

About 40 minutes into the surgery, Jungkook could feel movement within him, as if the doctors were searching for something, when suddenly, a cry pierced the air. Their first baby was born.
