Chapter 4: what in the crow?

"Are you alright, little one?" The voice came from directly above him.

His eyes opened and he saw the face of a beautiful woman. Not having the energy to talk, he just nodded in response.

"Alright then, I think you should get some rest and you can tell me your story tomorrow dear." She carried him to a beautiful castle in a cave speckled with gems and ores alike.

Halfway there, he fell asleep, I guess almost falling to your death really takes the energy out of someone.

– time skip: in the morning –

The voice of a child woke him up. "Mum, who's he?" The child had locks of hair the colour of pure sand.

"I'm sure he will be able to tell you himself when he wakes up." The same woman from before replied to him.

Virgil opened his eyes and sat up slowly. Where on earth was he? And why was there a child next to him? Even though he himself was also a child, he assumed that he was quite a bit older. "Uh, I'm confused." He said, shyly.

The blond child gasped. "Hi! I'm Tommy, who're you?" He was clearly excited.

"I'm Virgil." Came the blunt reply. "Where am I?" He doesn't remember how he got here, or where 'here' even is.

"You're in the kingdom of Corvus. I'm Kristin by the way." The woman- Kristin, said.
