Living In A Silent World

Part 4

We sat together at the library and read some of her favorite books. She was reading The Picture Of Dorian Gray and i decided to read one of our mutual favorite The Bible. The clock rang making us aware of what time it was. It was 10:00 pm. Cursandra received a call. A ocean storm roared in her eyes and the waves we ready to pour out landing on her pale cheecks but yet again she prevented them from doing so. She ended the call barely being able to keep her emotions bottled up. She dropped her book causing a loud bang that broke the silence in the library.All Eyes On Her. A few "shhhes" came from the people in the library. Looking at her angrily as if she did something wrong. They didn't understand her situation.

In tears she ran out the library. I followed her in worry. "Are you okay? What's wrong? I know that call broke you, i can see it in your eyes. What was it about? Talk to me. Please talk to me" That's all i wanted to say to her but i knew she wouldn't tell me. The rain and cold wind comforted her as we walked back home. I decided to tell her what I've always wanted to tell her. How proud i am of her. How temporary pain is and how long lasting joy and memories are. How everyday would be a great day if she just embraced it.

She stopped and fell to the floor. Letting her pain tear her apart. She asked "Will the pain ever go away?" Excitedly i replied,"Yes". I was overwhelmed by the fact that she was finally talking to me again. After months and months of silence she finally decided to talk to me.

After my response, she simply bowed her head for a little while, stood up and ran in front of a speeding car.

Unable to process what just happened i tried to scream for help but no one could her me. As i was just merely her guardian angel,with no voice in this world. I lied besides her body as the car drove by,leaving us in silence.
