As instructed, Charlie woke up later on in the morning and walked to the Lake of the Spirits. When he reached the lake, he placed his pails on the floor; it was a beautiful sight to see. The lake was crystal clear, fishes swam around, there were large grassy hills around it, there was a deep green forest near it, one that he hated, the forest was home to the elvens. 78 moons ago, he was permanently cursed with a sword from that forest.

Charlie placed the pails down near the lake and started filling them up with water.

"Boo!", someone said.

Charlie jumped slightly and looked behind him, Salis stood there, smiling, which was quite odd as he never really smiled at anyone. He wore long black pants with golden buttons near his pockets and a white blouse. His sword hung on his belt.

"How are you, Charlie?", he asked.

"What are you doing here?", Charlie asked.

"Can a prince not admire one of the greatest sights in his kingdom?", he asked.

Charlie scoffed and continued to fill up the pails with water. Salis sat down on a log on the shore of the lake. While Charlie was filling them up with water multiple spirits flew down and started to surround the prince. With their squeaky little voices, they asked him multiple questions about his life and how he lived it. The spirits were small little pixie looking things, their bodies were covered in vines with different flowers, it was hard to believe but they were one of the most powerful beings in all of the kingdoms. They were wise and knew the cure to every illness, or curse.

While Charlie was filling up the second pail Salis whispered to the spirits, he didn't want Charlie to know what he was asking them.

"I have a question", he whispered, "but please be quiet when answering me".

"Yes, your highness", the spirits beamed, "we won't be loud at all".

"That man over there was cut with a cursed elven sword", he whispered, "is there any way we could cure it? My mother told me he would die by 18".

"Oh yes your highness, yes!", they squeaked, "we know a cure, we know two actually".

Salis' eyes lit up, "please tell me".

"One of the cures is a potion, it has to be brewed by Sykes, the mage, you need to bring him a mandrake, the blood of a dragon, a piece of heavens bell, crystalised luck and a winter bears eye", one of them smiled.

"Dragon blood?", Salis confirmed, "I need dragon blood? Dragons don't exist anymore, and the ones that do are impossible to find".

"Oh", they frowned.

Salis sighed, then his eyes widened, "didn't you say there were two cures?"

A spirit covered in roses went to speak, but another interrupted, "don't bother telling him Rose, he won't like it".

"It can't be that bad?", Salis asked.

The spirit who was cut off flew up to Salis and looked at him right in his eyes, "you're a prince, so it'll work, all you need to do, is to get him to experience immense pleasure every night, and the amount of nights must equal to his age, and you must do it starting from sunset to sunrise, if he doesn't feel it, the curse will become even worse, but the only rule is, one of the people have to be royalty, and you're a prince, so it'll definitely work".

Salis' eyes widened and his face turned red. Charlie had finished filling up the pails when he walked up to Salis.

"Shoo, shoo", he shooed the spirits away.

Charlie looked at Salis, and his red face, "what did they tell you? Your face is red".

Salis shook his head, "you wouldn't like it".

"There is nothing that I do not like", he replied, "so tell me, only if it is about me, though".

"I asked the spirits on how someone could cure your cut made by the cursed sword of an elven", Salis hesitated.

Charlie didn't look too pleased, "it's impossible to cure, I can't get dragon blood, I don't have the money", he turned away to walk off, "and don't for a second think you can buy it, I don't want you pitying me".

The spirit who was adorned in roses flew right in front of Charlie, "there is another way".

"It'll cost money, which is the one thing I do not have", Charlie stated.

"It doesn't require money", they squeaked, "well not unless the royal prince is going to demand money from you".

"If it involves him, I don't want to know", he stated, "I'll be going now, thank you".

Charlie waved the spirit out his sight and started to walk off.

'It's because of him that I'm out here at this time with these pests annoying me', Charlie thought, 'I want nothing to do with him, and why does he suddenly care about me so much?'

'Why won't he just accept my help, why is he so stubborn?', Salis thought, 'I need to cure a curse in order for the ritual to work and so I can become king. No one else in this kingdom has a curse!'

Charlie started to walk back to the forge, Salis' head dropped. The same rose spirit flew right up in front of Charlie.

"YOU MUST CURE THIS CURSE!", they yelled, "if you don't, you'll die".

Charlie rolled his eyes and walked around the spirit that was floating in mid-air. He continued to walk back when the spirit flew in front of him again.

"Just... hear me... out!", their breath was heavy.

Charlie sighed, "go on".

The spirit caught it's breath and started to speak, "you need to experience immense pleasure every night, and the amount of nights must equal to your age, and you must do it starting from sunset to sunrise, but if you don't feel it, the curse will become even worse, and the only rule is, one of the people have to be royalty, and there is a PRINCE who will willingly help you, this rarely happens since most royalty only care about other royals", it moved it's head to the side and muttered, "like the current king".

Charlie's eyes widened, "you're tiny, how did you manage to say so much?"

The spirit lifted it's head up and smiled looking proud of itself for saying so much, "so what do you say? Will you reverse your curse".

Charlie's face lit up, "of course...".

The spirit's wings fluttered with excitement.

His face dropped, "...not", Charlie continued, "I'd rather eat shit than sleep with the prince".

Charlie looked back at the prince, Salis' eyes widened, and he didn't look so happy. His cheeks were slightly puffed up, and his arms were crossed over his chest. Charlie didn't care and decided to walk off.

He reached the forge and greeted his father who was already awake. His father had his bath while Charlie started up the forge.
