Ch. 6 What Now?

*Valerie's POV*
I went home crying my eyes out. "Why was I feeling like this! I have never liked my enemy?!" I started crying out until I heard a knock on the door.

I went to go answer it and it was a big surprise.

"OMG! Meghan!" I said excitedly

"Hey Valerie! What's up she greeted back to me.

Meghan was my sister I hardly ever see her cause she lives in Barcelona with her husband, but it's always nice to be reunited with her.

"We have so much to catch up on. How's Barcelona? Are you pregnant?
Did you get a divorce?" I started asking immediately

"Woah! Slow down. First off Barcelona is beautiful as always. Second of all, I am not pregnant, and third of all I did not get a divorce." She started saying.

"I wanna hear something about you though?" She asks mysteriously

"What's up?" I asked confusingly

"When you answered the door I saw that you were crying. Would you like to tell your big sister why? " She asks.

"Umm... Ok. I said.

"Sit down over here."

I walk over to the my bed to sit down and tell her my story.

"It all happened last night. I was there and there was this other boy." I say slowly.

She nodded her head.

"Then me and this boy danced together. While we were dancing he took me outside to the school courtyard to talk. We did talk.. A lot but then we kissed.

Meghan's eyes widened as I said

"Before we kissed though we both confessed that we both really liked each other, and since we were wearing masks we did not know who we were so then we took off our masks." I said nervously.

"Whoa, wait. Are you telling me that a boy that you didn't know who he was or what he looked like kissed you and confessed that you liked each other?!

"Yes?!" I say kinda nervously

"Main question here. Who was the boy!" She said almost yelling out.

"Ok fine. Do you remember that boy Dan that I said he was my enemy and I would never like him." I said.

"Yes?" She said confusingly

"Well... He recently moved to our school and it may have sorta, maybe not have been him that I kissed." I said mumbling.

My mumbling was enough for her to hear what I was saying.

"Ooh. Well you know Valerie we all make mistak-." She said as I interrupted her.

"You didn't let me finish.
I started to get a little bit more feelings about liking Dan and earlier today, a girl named Victoria went up to me and said that Dan never wants to talk to me and get out of his life. Oh she also said that me and this other boy named Chris would make the perfect couple.

"And..." She asks confused

"Meghan.. I actually started to like Dan and today everyone's been saying that Dan and Victoria are dating now.

"Ooh is that why you were crying?" She asked.

I nodded my head in reply and went up to her and hugged her.

"You know what Val. Dan made a stupid choice to go out with Victoria if you liked him so much why not just talk to him?" She asked.

"I don't know then that will make me seem desperate. And what am I gonna do about the Chris? What if he asks me out? What if-" I got interrupted

"Ok Val the what ifs are not gonna help yourself. Just calm down. The only thing I can say is for you to be yourself." She said pacing back and fourth.

"Wow great advice." I said sarcastically

"Listen if Dan wants to go out with Victoria then we will let him it's his own life and one day he will come back with you. Just think positive." She started saying with mixed emotions.

"Yea you know what your right I won't take over his life I will just think positive." I day happily even though I'm dying inside.

"Thanks Meghan." I say reaching out for a hug. She hugged me back and said

"No problem. Now get some sleep it's kinda late."

I smiled back at her as I got into my bed.

She said goodnight and left my room.

I was still thinking of what am I going to do tomorrow? Should I go out with Chris? Do I- ugh I can't do this." I say to my self.

Then successfully I passed out on the bed being extremely tired. "Ugh what will tomorrow be like?"
