*Valerie's POV*
I had a good night sleep on what my plan for today was. Although I couldn't tell if this was the right decision though.
Meghan and I had a good and long talk on what has been happening the past few days and she did give me some good advice.
But all I know is the second I walk into this school I am making the right choice.
*at school*
"Ah there he is." I say to myself walking up to him.
"Oh hey Valerie." He says very cheerful.
"Hello Chris. Um I've been meaning to ask you something?" I say to him whole stumbling upon my words.
"Oh really? Cause I've been meaning to ask you something as well. "He says
"Oh um is it ok if I go first cause it's kinda important..." I say
"Oh oh that's fine go ahead." He says kinda disappointed.
"Um well do you wanna go first then?" I ask.
"Yes please. Well it's kinda hard to say. So we have been friends for a long time and we have been going to this school for a while." He says nervously and blushing
I nod my head listening.
" I've been meaning to say if you would like to go out with me?!" He says.
That's when everything stops. My stomach is doing flips I'm pretty sure I'm blushing. And a smile ready to come out.
"Yes! Of course." I say excitedly
"Oh I'm sorry for- wait?! Did you just say yes?! He says surprisingly
"Yes. I said Yes." I say still excitedly.
"Oh well great! What were you going to tell me?" He says happily.
"Oh that's not important anymore." I say.
He reached in for a hug and I hugged him back until he kissed me in the cheek. That was the moment the bell rang. Perfect timing.
*after class*
*Veronicas POV*
I look through my locker as I hear my name being called from the other side of the hallway.
It was Valerie running up to me very excitedly.
"Hey Valerie you seem in a good mood." I say curiously
"Well I am cause... Chris just asked me to go out with him!" She said excitedly.
I stand there like and idiot confused.
"Umm Valerie what about Dan?" I asked confused."
"Who?" She says.
"Ugh don't act all stupid. You know the guy who-." I got interrupted by the school bell.
"Oh well I guess it's time to go see ya later Veronica." She says skipping happily.
Valerie left me standing there standing alone in the halls.
"Hmm something's going on here and I'm gonna get to the bottom of it." I say slamming my locker and walking away.
*2 weeks later*
*Dan's POV*
It's been two weeks since Victoria and I have been a couple now. It's killing me to say that I'm with the girl who I'm not in love with but I don't think Valerie would want me again after she kissed Chris.
Victoria and I were were walking together side by side in the empty hallway.
We are then greeted by to other people who are in front of us holding hands.
It was Valerie and Chris..
"Valerie... Um Valerie. I say silently.
"Hello Dan. I can see you and Veronica are officially a couple now." She says.
"Uh- " I get interrupted.
"I know don't we just make the perfect couple!" Veronica says while cuddling in to me.
"Well that's nice but I think me and my girlfriend actually make the perfect couple." Chris says looking at Valerie.
"Um so wait so you and Valerie have something going on? You guys are a couple." I say confused
"Yep! Well it was nice talking to you guys but I better get going. I wouldn't want to get in anyone's way." She says looking at me.
"What did I do? Why are you addressing me?" I say confused.
"Oh nothing I just don't want to interfere with anyone or never speak to them again. Right Dan?" She says still addressing me.
"What the hell are you talking about. I never said those things." I say getting a bit mad.
Valerie then looks at me disappointed and said, I think it's time for us to go." She said while turning around and walking away.
"Valerie wait! We are not done here we have to talk." I say as I stop her from walking.
"Dan we have nothing to talk about." She says while turning around.
"Yes we do and I wish to talk to you alone." I say getting furious
"Dan just drop it Valerie doesn't want to speak with you and she wishes not to." I heard Chris saying to me.
"I'm sorry but I wasn't talking to you Chris!" I say getting angry.
Then me and Chris start yelling at each other and Victoria trying to tell us off I didn't know what else to do.
"EVERYBODY SHUT UP!" I heard Valerie scream.
All of us broke apart and paid attention to Valerie.
"Look I didn't mean to start any arguments we just don't have anything to talk about." She says as I see tears rolling from her eyes.
She then walks away slowly not looking back.
"Listen if you ever tell off my girlfriend ever again you will wish you were never born." I heard Chris say in a deceiving voice.
He then catches up with Valerie as they walk together slowly.
I couldn't help myself but look back at Valerie. I really wanted her to be mine I know I made a mistake being with Victoria but I didn't know what else to do.
Then I see Valerie looking back at me while she was still walking with Chris.
"Dan! Dan!" I heard my name being called by Victoria.
"What?!" I say confused.
"What are you staring at?" She asks
"Oh nothing... Well we better get going." Say trying to move on.
"Ugh how long can I keep this up?" I say disappointed as I make my way down the empty halls with Veronica by my side.
