Boom.Super descriptive, right-?
His hands shook, another robot taken down.
This shit was a piece of cake, possibly one of the easiest exams ever.
One robot there, another one after that, shout at some useless extras, take down some more robots;
the cycle continues. At least it continues until the end of the exam.
Bakugou was fairly confident- maybe too confident, but still, he knew he had passed.
With flying colours, he was first place in the entrance exam, significant numbers above many others. He had grinned and shouted loudly about it, his mother chastising him for being so loud and then yelling about how proud she was.
His dad meekly stood behind her, smiling and giving encouraging words that went mostly unheard, as his wife and son argued continually.
Bakugou wouldn't have it any other way.
Izuku had studied and studied in the short amount of time he still had left.
He crammed in whatever he could, taking on extra online classes and revising everything he'd learnt in the past year.
His mother was openly worried, always bringing him snacks and reminding him to drink water and eat enough.
(she also flooded the house with tears over that same worry ,, , Izuku had struggled to stay afloat as he practically drowned.)
But after all the hard work, he was ready.
And then he sat the exam, a confident smile on his face, slowly fading as each question was read.
'Nope. Don't know what that means.'
'Is that even the right answer-?'
'.. I swear I didn't even learn this.'
'I wonder what All Might looked like as a baby .. He was probably really scary looking, but then if he was in his muscle form,,, ehh- he'd still be scary looking so it's not really-'
Izuku shook his head. Completely not relevant.
The green boy had made a few errors on the maths page, a few guesses here and there. English was easy, he was fluent and overall girlboss material, so that part wasn't any trouble.
The science part was difficult, mostly because he'd pick an answer and then start thinking of other ways that a different answer would work, and then he'd circle pretty much all of them in the end, completely and utterly confused.
Though, there was one thing he didn't study for, and he'd say it was probably the only thing he had an almost perfect score on.
The last page. It was just questions.
They just made you think really hard, having to really dig into your brain and follow a chain of ideas. Izuku was generally good at not shutting up about random interesting subjects, so he read the question, writing and writing and writing-
until time was up.There was so many god damn people in that hall, that Izuku almost forgot that it wasn't some kind of mental interrogation.
The first thing he did when he stepped outside was walk to the nearest patch of grass, collapsing onto it, the shade of the tree above shielding his eyes.
He took touching grass to another level, laying across the green, and melting into the ground.
That was completely terrifying.
He probably fucked up most of the questions; his handwriting was shit, he picked multiple answers rather than one, fuck- he even got so anxious about it that he started writing his own name in the answer box-!-
