Two pairs of footsteps follow the road, abrupt bursts of laughter disrupting the peaceful quiet.

Shinsou sighs, taking a moment to catch his
breath,

"hey, Midoriya,"

The green-haired boy smiles, turning his head to face the other.

After that .. emotional turmoil of disgusting feelings, the two decide to walk to Izuku's house, and spend the night there; rather than Shinsou walking home, alone, in the dark.

They'd spent most of the day together, goofing around. It had been the most fun Izuku had
had in ages, even if he'd snorted chocolate milk out of his nose because Shinsou had made him laugh too hard.

"Do you know how many classes are in the gen ed course-?" Shinsou kicks at a stone, sending it down the road, and down the main road, "I want to be in the same class as you .. or something."

Izuku pondered, thinking, ".. I think there's three for each department--.. but I-I'm not sure."

It's pleasant to know that Shinsou actually wants to be around him, even be in the same class- but it's still a surprise to know he had even made it into the course. Izuku honestly didn't understand how it had happened, but he wasn't going to complain.

..
Though, a part of him is sad, sad about something, maybe he's sad that he isn't becoming a hero like he has been hoping, or being someone helpful for once or maybe he was just in his head and-

"Is it one of these apartments-?" Shinsou points up at a large building, windows dotted around each side.

Izuku turned, hesitantly nodding his head,
"I-It's the third floor-?"

Why did Izuku turn that into a question-? He fucking knows where he lives god damn it.

The two start walking, starting the treacherous journey of clambering each staircase. There are so many memories scattered around, left behind from how long Izuku and his mother have lived there.

You can see the swing he and Bakugou had built
(.. tried to build) with the help of the blonde's father.

It ended up just being a plank of wood with uneven pieces of rope attached, and even if it was horrible and uncomfortable, they had been proud at the time.

As they ascended further up the staircase, Izuku could look out and see a part of the railing that had been broken, one of the bars having broken in half. It was Bakugou, obviously, after he had blown up and crackled everywhere halfway down the stairs.

God, he missed doing stuff like that, when quirks didn't matter in friendships and all that they had to believe in was that 'friendship is magic' bullshit.

Anything Bakugou had done Izuku had trailed along, like a little duckling, maybe slightly annoying and too talkative, but Bakugou had never seemed too mind too much, before.

They had watched so many different hero shows from back in the day, like spider-man, even if he was technically a vigilante, every single one of the Avenger's movies, and they had even been sat there in the theatre for every All Might movie premiere, squealing and disrupting the entire audience, and eventually having to be kicked out, but that's besides the point.
