In the Red kingdom, it never was bustling. Well not around Nativitatis that is. Red Steve's always enjoyed curling up near their fireplace or have some hot drink and a good book in hand to read , that was simply their way of celebrating. 

Yet sadly. Beef couldn't just stand still long enough to read a book or anything of the sort around that time. But he always did love making wooden globes to put up in his trees even if it tested his patience most of the time to do so. Each one signifying one of his friend's or family even , of course subtly.

And he was doing it this time for the Obsidian Captain. Which just seemed happy to be wearing what other Steves said were Nativitatis clothes (the poor thing burned them the first time , they managed to make them fire proof afterwards) , he didn't have a large dialect so it took awhile to explain what exactly it meant too yet , now it was worth it as he braided Beef's hair oh so carefully. Not wanting to distract or harm him either

In all honesty he was the most oblivious creation ever. With no need to eat, drink,sleep,relax, worry about dialect or being weak so on. But that didn't stop him from trying to learn all of these from others to get closer to Beef and try to adapt and be a better steve. Better to start now than later

And while for others it'd be considered creepy, he liked watching Beef sleep too. It comforted him to know he was actually alive and well. And not dead for him to not know or anything of the sort. What would you expect from a being that needs no bed or anything of the sort either.

Which was also why he was silent currently, watching as his partner painted a ball of wood into what was a orange tint before turning it into a sun setting envision at last.

"And done! That was the last touch , thank you for keeping me grounded while i worked Captain. It's hard to stay still all alone with so much to do. But with you braiding my hair i didn't want to mess anything up."

Had explained Beef as he looked back at the Captain which nodded slightly before deciding to ask.

"Think you have any books on Nativitatis? I would like to read something together for a awhile before we actually put up the decorations. I don't want to mess up."

He explained , which put a smile on Beef's face as he nodded happily while he leaned into the other. Letting his head rest on his chest.

"I'm glad you're eager to read , you always are. But i think you'd be best to read , like always. I'm pretty sure we won't get anything done if i do it myself for the both of us. Not with my attention span even if i wanted too."

Had suggested Beef. Keeping quiet as he watched the Obsidian Captain. Clear he just needed a moment to comprehend everything before he really got to work is all. He always was like that , wanting to make sure he wasn't disrespectful to others.

He hated war after all. And.. we all would know what would happen if such weak Steve's fought against literal obsidian. He'd admit some were strong. Like Beef was , but it didn't change how many disadvantages he was at either.
