Chapter 103

Jungkook's bright and clear eyes showed Lisa's reflection. His eyes were sincere with nothing to hide. This made Lisa wonder if she had mistaken him. She raised her hand and use her index finger tap his temple softly. She said, "Maybe you're too stressed out. Rest well". As she spoke, she turned to leave.

Jungkook suddenly embraced her from behind, twining his long arms around her body like vines.

He leaned next to her ear and whispered, "Lisa, I want----"

"Don't even think about it! Rogue!"

"I want to pass you your New Year present", Here, Jungkook paused. His voice was a little puzzled. "That's roguish?"

"Cough".

Jungkook grinned. He asked deliberately, "What did you think I meant? What weird ideas are you holding towards me? You rogue I'm still Innocent".

Lisa stretched her arm behind and rubbed his dog head gently. "Getting bolder, are we? Huh Don't worry daddy won't do anything to you baby boy" Her laugh was sinister.

Jungkook did not take the joke too far. He released her, walked over to the wardrobe and fished out a black, palm-sized box from it. The box was slim and the right size to fit into an overcoat's pocket.

"New Year's Present". He held the box out to Lisa. As he did so, a faint smile lingered softly his eyes willow branches swayed in the spring breeze.

Lisa could not help acknowledging how perfect the current lighting and atmosphere was. Standing there like this, Jungkook looked kind of delicious. She hurriedly took her eyes off him, took the box and opened it with fast fingers.

The exterior of the stiff, black paper box was embossed with a silver logo that she did not recognize. She did not think much of it and when she opened the box, she saw a pair of gloves laying inside.

It was not an ordinary pair of gloves. Rather, it was a pair of gloves meant for speed skating. The gloves were pure-white and made of cut-resistant materials. On the back of the gloves was somewhat familiar-looking pattern drawn in pink lines.

Eh?

Lisa held up the gloves and scrutinized it. After she did that, she took a second look at the gift box and discovered that the two patterns were the same.

"What is this brand? I don't think I've seen it before?" Lisa was puzzled.

Jungkook rubbed her head. "Idiot. Take a closer look".

Thus, she looked at the pattern again. The lines of the pattern were clean and elegant. She looked at it with the same focus as when doing her assignments. After a while, she finally realized something.

"A latter 'J' and letter 'L'. And here, is this a heart?"

"J, Jungkook, L, Lisa...." Lisa halted and twisted her head to look at him.

The smile still in his eyes, Jungkook nodded.

Lisa was deeply moved. She felt her eyes dampened and using her fingers to trace the pattern carefully, she asked, "Did you design this?"

"I asked someone majoring in art at our school to design this". After saying this, he added, "A guy".

Lisa was originally so moved that she was about to cry. However, when she heard this, she burst into laughter. "No one asked about his gender".

"I want to clarify even if you didn't ask". Jungkook pointed to the pattern. "From now on, this is our unique logo".

"Oh?"

"Both of us will wear the same logo to compete. As the saying goes, 'as long as both husband and wife are of the same heart, there's nothing that they can't overcome'".

Lisa's face reddened. "Scram, who wants to be your wife".

The next day, Lisa gave Jungkook a present as well.

The New Year present that she prepared for him was a scarf. In front of the logo that Jungkook specially customized, she suddenly felt that her scarf pales greatly in comparison.

What should she do?

Lisa told Jungkook, "Jungkook, I'll take this scarf back first. I'll let Jimin help to stitch a logo on it".

Jungkook picked out a piece of key information from her words. "What does it has to do with that small man Jimin?"

"Jimin has really skillful hands and he likes to do art and craft. He has made countless little bears, rabbits, cats and frogs. The little rabbit hanging from my bag was made by him".

Jungkook imagination was limited. He was unable to piece together the idea of Jimin, a guy with thick eyebrows and large eyes, with handcrafted rabbits. That image was simply too out of place.

Lisa continued explaining, "So Jimin would definitely be more successful at stitching the logo than me".

"There's no need". Jungkook did not want to received a piece of clothing with something that had been carefully stitched on by a man. It felt a little odd to him. He raised one corner of the scarf and pressed it against Lisa's lips. "Just imprinting a kiss is enough".

Lisa looked at him with blinking her doe eyes.

After keeping the scarf, Jungkook saw that she was still looking at him without saying a word. "What's wrong?"

"Little devil".

Jungkook: "...."

On 15 January, the world University Winter Games welcomed its opening ceremony.

The competition was held in Rain City, a city located in the central of Korea. Lisa and Jungkook headed there together with the other ice sports athletes from RCU. When they reached Rain city, it began snowing gently. The city became pristine white under a blanket of snow and looked extremely lovely.

Perhaps due to the fact that her name had the word, Lisa found snow something impossible for her a grow tired of. Sitting on the bus, she sprawled in front of the glass window and watched the snow scenery with a bright smile.

Jungkook sat beside her. Taking advantage of his long limbs, he placed one hand on top of her head restlessly. Whenever the bus jolted, his hand would immediately slip to her forehead and stopped her from bumping into the window. After the jolting stopped, his hand would shift back to the top of her head. He would then ruffle her hair before continuing to rest his hand there.

Those actions were secretly filmed by someone and uploaded onto the internet. Their fans scoffed the dog food down, greatly entertained.

The ice hockey competition began on the second day of the opening ceremony and would last all the way until the last competition date of the World University Winter Games. As for the speed skating competition, it would officially begin on 20 January but Lisa's 500 meters event was on the 19th. Subsequently, her next competition was the women's 3000 meters relay.

On the 20th, Lisa did not have any competition. After notifying the RCU team leader, Lisa dashed over to the stadium that held the ice hockey event to watch Jungkook.

When Jungkook appeared, he was expectedly using a hockey stick taped in pink. However, this time, there was strange pattern on the tape. Many people noticed this and discussed it curiously.

For this competition, the Korean team was up against the Swiss team. The Korean team had the home ground advantage and played sharply from the start. Jungkook's performance was aggressive and he managed to score not even five minutes into the game.

16 minutes into the competition, Eunwoo passed the puck to Jungkook and Jungkook raised his hockey stick to shoot the puck. He had got into an excellent position that was able to take advantage of the gap in their competitor's defence. Lisa felt that this score was in the bag for the Koren team.

However, Jungkook's slightly raised hockey stick did not swing down. It halted in the air for a split second before abruptly slipping from Jungkook's fingers and landing on the ice with a clatter.

The next moment, Jungkook's body swayed and he toppled on the ice.
