Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.-John 8:12 (KJV)

Nothing could have been more of a surprise to Tutu than seeing her childhood friends walk in to her shop launch unannounced. She knew it had been posted on a group page she was on about her upcoming event and everyone had sent their wishes as much as they could but she never thought any of them would show up, since most were not even in the country.

Now, she was so surprised that a gasp escaped her throat and she almost thought she was dreaming. As if to find out for herself, she lunged forward in their direction. Her friend saw her coming and smiled too as she moved towards her too.

"Adekunbi Oshin!"

"Adetutu Sijuade!"

They both squealed as they exchanged several hugs, almost jumping like kids.

"How are you? When did you return in to the country?"

"Just a few days ago. I wanted to surprise you."

"Ah! Consider me surprised."

They both heard a throat clearing and looked up.

The gentleman with Kunbi spoke. "I think we should move this to a quieter area. We are becoming the center of attention."

Tutu looked around and saw that indeed, everyone had turned their attention to them. She smiled and quickly ushered her friend to her office, with her guest in tow.

She realised as they settled in her office that the man's face seemed familiar.

As if her friend guessed what she was thinking, she spoke up. "Ah, forgive my manners. You remember my cousin, Adewale, Oba Adégbolá Gbadebo's last son. You guys met those few times you visited our house."

"Prince Adewale? Oh my God. It's been so long."

He smiled. "Yes, it has. I can see you are doing well for yourself."

"I am. I am. Thank God. How are you?"

"I am good too."

"Wow. It's so good to see you both. My brother is actually here too."

"Your brother?!" Kunbi exclaimed before adjusting her tone. "I mean, your brother?"

Tutu was first befuddled before she remembered that her dear friend used to have a crush on Tayọ.

"Yeah. He is here with his wife," she answered with a smirk.

"His wife? I thought I heard something about the death of his wife."

"Yeah. He remarried last year."

"That's wonderful."

Tutu looked into her eyes and she did seem very glad for him.
