*5 years into the future*

5 years ago the plan was for Dave and Jake to get married and become a loving family; but there was no way Jake could ever do that to (Y/N). Jake was still madly in love with you and no one, not even Dave, could replace the love you two shared.

Jake had decided he's bisexual, even though he's never thought about another man other than Dave in a loving way. But Dave on the other hand was in a committed relationship with a guy he met a few years back. Unfortunately Jake has been single for all these years. Just him and his daughter Emma for 5 years.

Jake finished cleaning up the kitchen and walked into the living room, "C'mon kiddo, time for bed," Jake said as he tossed Emma into the air and tickled her the whole way to her bedroom.

“Daddy, can you please tell me another story about you and mommy?”

A chuckle slipped from Jake’s lips and shook his head at the 5 year old. “I’m afraid not, Emma,” he tucked her under the sheets again; “It’s too far past your bed time.”

Jake saw his daughter start to pout, and let’s face it – she’s too cute to resist. Giving in, Jake sighed and knelt down next to Emma's bed. “Same story as always, bud?”

She quickly nodded and squirmed around in her bed to get comfortable for the story that was coming.

“Well, your mother and I went to school together, you know that right?” I looked at my daughter as she nodded, making me smile. “Me and my friends always hung out in the hallways, watching the ladies walk by. Millions of girls strolled by, but your mother especially caught my eye. God, she was the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.”

Jake lightly laughed to himself, remembering the times where she’d walk past him in the hallways.

“Dude, who’s that? She’s beautiful,” Jake asked, whispering to his friend.

The boy shrugged. “I don’t know, why don’t you go find out?”

Jake quickly shook his head, biting his bottom lip. “Come on, you know that I have zero game when it comes to girls. Can you do it for me?”

His friend deeply sighed, and nodded, walking towards the girl that was straight across from where they were. From where Jake was standing, he could understand and hear everything perfectly.

“What’s your name?” He said in a friendly, slow voice.

“U-Um, (Y/N),” she stuttered, arching an eyebrow.

“Sorry if this is quite awkward for ya, but my friend over there,” He pointed a finger towards Jake, making his eyes widen slightly. “Wanted me to figure out your name because he thinks that you’re beautiful. I’ll leave now, see ya!”

A deep shade of red spread across her cheeks as he spoke, glancing over at the boy that was listening on their conversation.

“What the hell,” Jake whispered-yelled as his friend slowly approached. “Why did you do that?”

“Don’t quite know, honestly. But it seems that you have her attention now.”

“Daddy?”  Emma quietly asked. “What happened after that?”

“Well, a few days after that, I sort of admired mommy from a-far so that she wouldn’t be able to see me…well, staring at her. The school days went on and on – then she came up to me in the hallways as I was on the way to class,” Jake smiled, remembering the moment precisely.
