4. CrimsonClaw

When Violet started to drift in and out of consciousness, feeling the soft cotton against her skin warming her, she could make out the voice of Liam nearby.
The light sound of a chair shuffling,

"Tell me, Why is the daughter of Damon here."
"I couldn't even if I wanted to, I'm not privy to every detail and it is Alpha business."

The Alpha grunted and the sound of his shoes against the tiled floor was almost as annoying as the beeping from the heart monitor, 
"Liam is right Alpha of CrimsonClaw,"

All eyes darted to Violet who mere moments ago was still, flat across the bed, now sitting up and turning the heart monitor machine off. Bowing her head slightly when turning to the Alpha once more,

"This is Alpha business and as much as you want answers to a potential threat, I would be more comfortable speaking for myself than by my aide."

The Alpha said nothing but stared down at her until eventually she met his eyes, still feeling the aura around him since appearing in the Pack.
"Well?" 

She blinked momentarily before answering, remaining calm and clear but with a tingle of anxiety laced into her words.

"Alpha of CrimsonClaw, I have come to propose an Alliance with your pack. Alpha Damon of BlueBlood has become weak and incapable of leading our pack into the future, we will soon be drowned of debt and possibly without an Alpha unless we take action."

It was clear that the Alpha had been aware of the situation since there was no evident surprise, no. Yet, there was a glimmer of curiosity that had been piqued. 
"Proceed."

"I am seeking to overthrow him before this happens-"

The Alpha stopped, looking at Violet with wide-eyes and about to protest when she lifted her palm.

"I have yet to shift this I know but in the current states between us, I have no fear of being beaten. Quite the opposite in fact, and I know you and many packs have reservations about how it should be led by an Alpha with a Luna."

Violet fidgeted slightly also hoping her white lie about fighting him before her first shift would be enough to convince him before continuing,
"To this tradition I swear to follow but I cannot if there is no pack to lead, so I will be Luna and Alpha until my mate is to appear. However, many will see this as an act of defiance possibly even treason which is why I need your alliance...What say you?"

The Alpha remained still, only closing his gaping mouth to rub his jaw and sigh. 
"This is a dangerous feat, Causing a rise like this and attempting to lead a pack without your mate? That sort of talk could catch the attention of the Wolf King himself and every alliance with you could fall in the process..."

Violet scanned through the memories of Alpha's she had come across feeling that if she needed to pull him to her side this was the only way clear enough to see and with a confident exterior she spoke his name,

"Alpha Lurow, I only ask that the current alliance we have be shifted onto my name once I lead, you need not fight. Only swear what you have with my father be passed onto me earlier than planned."

Her words definitely rang in his ears and with one last look shared between them he held out his arm, swearing his allegiance. Violet grasped his hand and a silver vine wrapped around their wrists, sinking in and becoming a deep ruby mark of loyalty like a bracelet.
Violet felt her heart settle as Liam smiled ear to ear, Lurow narrowing his darkened gaze.

"I have your word Luna Violet, my pack will not fight until after you have officially claimed the title."

She nodded and slumped back onto the bed in the medical ward, rubbing her wrist as the Alpha walked out the room advising the two to rest before setting off again.
As soon as the door closed behind him, Violet tilted her head back feeling a wash of relief like getting in a hot shower after a breakup drown her entirely. 

"So...we have our first alliance?"
Liam questioned, in disbelief as Violet grinned with a new rise in confidence. Her eyes still on the ceiling but her heart miles away,

"Yeah we did, We have our first alliance."
