"Hades, stop. . . Please." she whispers, her voice sounds shaky as she grips the hem of her shirt, my eyebrows furrow. My stomach turning in a unknown way. This wasn't her usual way of acting around me, she usually laugh or simply ignore my jokes?
"Mel?"
suddenly, shadow like creatures form around her small figure, I step back as my eyes widen — the darkness only grow bigger. Melantha freezes as she spots herself in the mirror behind me, her shoulders slump and her eyes stays glued to the ground, the shadows slowly disappear.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry—" her voice is quiet and barely audible, I take a few steps forward so that I'm just a few inches away from her.
"Look at me, Melantha."
She shakes her head trough the quiet sobs, I slowly put two fingers under her chin as I lift her head up, her beautiful emerald eyes curiously scanning my face for any sort of reaction.
"I just keep getting amazed by you."I whisper before leaning in.
