Nikki was helping Jen settle in back into her parents' house. Into her oldschool teenage-girl room.

"Wow, this is just your average earlier 2000's teenage girl room." Nikki said.

Jen sighed as she unloaded stuff from boxes into her room. "Just shut up and help me sort out all my DVD's." she said.
"Well, actually. Not just my DVD's but--"

"I know. I know." Nikki said as she laid a box on the bed.
"You and your collection of Halloween movies, Chucky, Elm Street. Legally Blonde, Ally McBeal, and How To Get Away with Murder?"

"How did your taste go from horror to legal comedies and dramas?" Nikki asked.

"Well, like any human being. There is a certain age or time in which we just change, and so do our tastes." Jen said.

"Why does your hair straighten when you turn into She-Hulk, by the way?" Nikki asked.

"Oh, that?" Jen said. "Not sure either. It does the opposite for my cousin, though."

"Like, your curls all disappear in the blink of an eye when you go green." Nikki said.

"Exactly. There must be a scientific explanation to it, I know it." Jen said. "Bruce will probably say the gamma radiation amplified my hair follicles to produce sexier strands." she chuckled.

Nikki smiled widely. "I don't know if I'm just a science dummy. But that might just be on point." she said.

"But I'm just saying, your curls kind of defined you your whole life. Right?" Nikki sat on Jen's bed as she cupped her hands together.

"Hey, my bed is off limits." Jen said. "I still have to thaw off the teenage vibes I left back in there last time I was here."

Nikki ignored that. "Heck, I like you better with those curls." she said.

Jen approached Nikki. "So do I. But I guess at the time--" she stared out the window.

"Admittedly, I used to always wish for the exact hair I have now as She-Hulk." she said.

"Oh, gosh. A childhood wish come true. Wish we all had that." Nikki said.

"Get off my bed." Jen said playfully as she pushed Nikki, but that couldn't do anything. She sat beside her friend.

"So you're saying that I should curl up my She-Hulk locks?" she said.

"Like that wasn't so obvious." Nikki said.

"I'm not sure how to do that." Jen said. "I can't control how I look as She-Hulk like---on command."

"Whatever. Just know that your curls right now are perfect." Nikki said as she leaned on Jen's shoulder as if she were asleep.

Jen scoffed. "Gee, thanks."

"No problem." Nikki said.

Present Day.

Now, Jen was driving quietly in the morning. On her way to meet with detectives who had requested a meeting with her on her violent correlations with Intelligencia.

Damn. Intelligencia.

She knew then what that word really meant. Yesterday, it was this ridiculous snowflake site of toxic netizens. Now, it was . . . something that could forever scar her.

Her phone buzzed. A call read, from Mallory.

"Answer." Jen said and via voice-automated functions.

Mallory's voice cut through the line, with the intent to bring comfort to Jen and at the same time break the truth to her. For reminders.
